 Enid Miles

200x140

Enid Miles was born on January 30, 1918 in Rosseau, Ontario. Before retiring, Enid's occupation was travel counsellor for an airline. As a travel counsellor, Enid travelled with people and helped travelers plan their vacations.

Enid has quite a few very interesting hobbies. She can play lots of different musical instruments such as piano, organ, drums, and flute. Every month Enid and her husband go dancing to "Big Band" music. She also likes to paint and sketch. She has even climbed a mountain and paddled a canoe in West Vancouver. Enid likes to garden and make dolls. Because she loves children so much, she has made over a hundred dolls.

Enid’s special memory was meeting her husband Jack Miles and signing him up for the airline in Vancouver, on May 15, 1953. It was fun. It brought her a whole new family.

In the year 1960, Enid and her husband visited a friend who lived in Surrey and bought their house. Enid’s treasured objects are her house and the raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, and birds that she sees from her kitchen door. “We don’t see wild animals much anymore” she said. Enid wishes to pass the house to her son, and she hopes that the house never changes.
