[Stanley Hart Brewster] were small (Stan a baby) Uncle John
visited us when we lived in Elmira [ca.1910]. He had a daughter

long ago [Canton, Bradford County, PA.]. Uncle John was a fine
courtly type of man and we enjoyed him. No doubt he passed away

Tioga County, PA, W.M. Munsell & Co, NY 1883, Tioga Twp & Boro
History, Henry H. Goodrich, biography of Harris Hotchkiss [
father-in-law of Alice (Shakespeare) Cady Hotchkiss]):
Seymour's wife was born at Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire,
England, her father being Stephen B. Shakespeare, who claimed to
be a lineal descendant of the poet. As the latter had one son
and three brothers it is not improbable there is a collateral if
not lineal blood relationship. |

(Letter from
Stephen's grandson Walter Stephen Brewster to Walter's son
Stanley Hart Brewster, Syracuse, NY, March 8, 1935):
..."Mother's people Grandfather Shakespeare came to America

afterwards in NYC (Mother and Aunt Sate.) He was a tailor by
trade the son of a baptist preacher, an ardent churchman and a
fine intelligent gentleman. His line races through the same line
as Shakespeare the poet. He was considered a very impressive
public speaker of course in a limited way. He died at our home
when I was about 12 yrs of age." [Walter was born in 1867 and

Concerning
the others, they were all of a very positive trend. All more or
