Manor of Rowington in The County of Warwick

 
At the Court Baron of John Sanders Esq Lord of the said manor in the same place there held for the same manor on 31st
day of January in the 8th year of the reign of our Sovereign George by the grace of God of great Britain ffranc and Ireland
King defender of the faith in the Year of Our Lord 1721. In the presence of William Knight Esq seneschal in this same place
so (amongst other things) the jury are sworn in viz [

To this Court came Thomas Tibbatts one customary tenant of this manor in his proper person and in open Court surrendered
into the hands of the Lord of the said manor according to custom in the same place All his Messuage or tenement called or
known by the name of the Ivy House situate and lying in Turners End within the said manor, and all those nine several closes
of arable land meadow and pasture overlooking the same Messuage or tenement now (or recently) called or known by the
several names of the Home close, the Windmill hill, three closes called the Beaches, the Barns close, the Home meadows,
and two Half Stretton closes, with all barns stables buildings gardens orchards commons and conveniences overlooking the
same premises, situate in the said Turners End within the said manor and in the tenure of Thomas and Anne Tibbatts
themselves For the use themselves of Thomas Tibbatts, and Elizabeth his intended wife for and during the terms of their
natural lives and living long lives and after their deaths and the death of their survivor Then to the use of the heirs of the body
of the said Elizabeth through birth to the same Thomas, And for default of such issue Then to the use of the rightful heirs of
the same Thomas forever according to the custom of the same Manor In addition to that into this Court came the same
Thomas in his proper person and at the same time Elizabeth through Thomas Fisher gentleman her Attorney with written
power of Attorney under hand and seal of the said Elizabeth having been signed and sealed, and bearing the date the 30th
day of this present month of January and here in Court brought forth and recommended and sought to be admitted tenants to
the said Messuage or tenement, and to all said premises with appurtenances to whom the said Lord through his said
seneschal now granted seisin to the said Messuage or tenement, and to all and singular said premises with appurtenances
through the rod according to the custom of the same Manor to Have and to hold the said premises with appurtenances the
same Thomas and Elizabeth for and during the terms of their natural lives, and living long lives, and after their deaths and the
death of their survivor Then to the use of the heirs of the body of the same Elizabeth born to the same Thomas and for default
of such issue Then to the proper use of the heirs of the same Thomas forever according to the custom of the same Manor
Whence it fell to the Lord of the said manor for a heriot over the said reversion the best beast of Thomas himself and for a
fine over their admission set by the said homage at 21 shillings (being the yearly rent for the said premises) according to the
custom of the same manor, And so they were thence admitted tenants by the Lord to all premises with appurtenances, And
also Thomas did fealty to the Lord In testimony to which  the aforesaid Seneschal appended his seal and signature on the
day and Year previously stated above.
