1. Fillongley real estate (land etc) in possession or occupation of Robert Bateman.
2. Messuages cottages & land in Little Packington tenure or occupied by John Smith.
Other land in Fillongley & Little Packington bequeathed to wife Anne who is maintaining & educating son Thomas & daughter Elizabeth.
2. If wife Anne remarries she is to provide an annuity of £60 payable to Thomas through her life.
3. After Anne’s death all the above to go to Thomas and his heirs or if he should die without issue before the age of 21 it is to go to Elizabeth and her heirs. Similarly if Elizabeth should die without issue before the age of 21 it is to be passed onto sister in law Elizabeth Grosvenor , spinster of Coventry and thence to kinsman Thomas Shakespeare son of William Shakepeare late of Arley. The will speaks of the estate being held in trust by William Dilke of Maxstoke Castle and Humphrey Wright and thence on to male heirs of Thomas son of William. If Thomas should die without issue before the age of 21 then it is to passed onto the second son William of William Shakespeare late of Arley and similarly the third son Henry.
