Thomas Shakespeare,of Fillongley,Died 1776
1. Land and farm in Fillongley let to Benjamin Moggs left to wife Mary after the decease of his mother Ann Shakespeare (This is presumably some of the land left by his father to his mother – see fathers will).
2. After the decease of his mother Ann and wife Mary the land is to go to his son Thomas and if Thomas should die without issue before the age of 21 to his daughter Frances.
3. All other real estate to go to Phillip Brownell Hylton of Coventry who is to raise £700 yearly from this estate to pay Richard Geast esquire of Blythe Hall and John Stanton of Coventry Gent. This land is to be passed onto son Thomas Shakespeare but if he should die without issue before the age of 21 to daughter Frances.
This yearly £700 to be used to pay any debts etc and the excess to be held in trust to educate and maintain son Thomas and daughter Frances and any other children that his wife might be expecting on his death.
4. Geast, Stanton, and Hylton to receive 2 guineas a piece for rings to wear in his remembrance.
5. Geast and Stanton to have custody / guardianship of children.
6. Plate to be divided between Thomas and Frances.

8. Thomas’ signature witnessed 16 Nov. 1775. by Thomas Lovett, Philip Lambeth? and James Gilbert.
