Services for Lucille May Keys, 67, of Redding will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at North Valley Baptist church in Redding.  The Rev. Royal Blue of the church will officiate.  Visitation will be conducted from 3-8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Wednesday at Allen and dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.  Burial will be at Whiskeytown Cemetery.  Mrs. Keys died Sunday, Feb. 18, 1990, at her residence.

Born Oct. 6, 1922, in Vallejo, she moved to Shasta County in 1984 from  Everett, WA.
She was a homemaker.  She was also a member of North Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband Elmer, sons Jerry of Olympia, WA, Larry of  Boise, ID, and Frank of Kansas City, KS; daughters laura Roberts of  Bella Vista, Pauline Robertson of Redding, and Linda Eastwood of Kansas City, KS; brothers Robert Bickford of Shasta, Phillip Bickford of Polk Valley, John Bickford of Milpitas, and donald Bickford of Auburn; mother Oladine Bickford of Redding; and 10 grandchildren.

Floyd Wheeler, 67, of Central Valley, died Wednesday January 17, 1973 in Shasta General Hospital of natural causes.

 A retired cemetery worker for Redding Cemetery, he was born July 7, 1905 in Missouri and had been a resident of Shasta County for 44 years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lawncrest Funeral Chapel in Central Valley with the Rev. Claude Porter officiating.  Burial will follow in Redding Cemetery.

Wheeler leaves two brothers.  Clifton Wheeler of Central Valley and Loy Wheeler of Redding:  three sisters, Josephine Wheeler of Central Valley, Alice Swafford of Redding, and Zona Sallinen of Central Valley:  and his father John Wheeler, also of Central Valley.

Friends may call at the Lawncrest Funeral Chapel in Redding today from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., or attend services at the Central Valley Chapel.

Services for Loy Wheeler, 80, of Central Valley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.  Burial will be at Newtown Cemetery in Redding.  Mr. Wheeler died Monday, June 1, 1992 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

Born Sept. 11, 1911, in OK, he moved to Shasta Co. 55 yrs ago from OK.  He was a controller for 19 yrs with the Shasta Co. Mosquito Abatement Department.

He is survived by sons Ronnie of Whittier, and Laurence of Redding; daughters  Linda Allenbaugh, Evelyn Alverez, and Carol, all of Redding and Diane Counts of Sacramento; sister Alice Swafford of Central Valley; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren

Barber passes in Cottonwood

Daniel Lincoln Rhoades passed away suddenly Thursday morning at an early hour.  He was a native of the state of Washington, aged 61 yrs.  He had resided in Cottonwood  for several years where he followed the occupation of barbering.

He is survived by a son, William G. Rhoads, of Cottonwood.  Owing to there being no physician in attendance, coroner John Larkin was called to investigate the case.  The funeral will occur at Cottonwood Saturday under the direction of the Home Undertaking company of Redding.

Samuel J. Ross, 82, of MacArthur died Friday August 22, 1969 at the Beverly Manor Convalescent Hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was born in San Antonio, TX, September 20, 1886 and has resided in Shasta Co. 17 years.

He leaves five sons, Quiller and Jess both of Redding, Sam of Oakland, Raymond and Paul, both of Kallip. MT; two daughters, Rachel Courtwright of Burney and Mary Moulton of San Jose; 25 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one sister, Sara Vines of Artesia, NM.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Allens Funeral Chapel in Turlock.  Burial will be in the Denair Cemetery

Anderson - Funeral services for Ernest B. Scarbrough of Anderson will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at McDonalds Anderson Chapel.

Scarbrough died Tuesday at Memorial Hosp in Redding as a result of injuries suffered in an industrial accident at Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Anderson.  He was 54.

Born in Redick, OK May 14, 1922, Scarbrough lived in Anderson22 yrs.  He worked for Kimberly-Clark Corp. for 1 1/2 yrs.

Scarbrough was  Veteran of World War II, serving with the Army.  He was a member of Anderson Moose Lodge 509 and the Happy Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars 6948.

He leaves a wife Eva "Chris" of Anderson; a daughter, Nancy Winters of Anderson; 3 sons; Ronnie of Folsom, and Phillip and Dennis, both of Anderson; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Scarbrough of Broken Bow, OK; a brother Ernie of Tucson, AZ; and 4 sisters, Pauline of Broken Bow, OK, Florence Fish of Winston, OR, Malba Louis Trimm of Marion, IL, and Jeanette Dorris of Chula Vista.

Ed Petersen will officiate at the services.  The Anderson Moose Lodge 509 and the District 20 VFW will assist at graveside rites.  Casketbearers will be Bill Lawrence, Wes Harris, George Burns, Earnie Henderson, John Maderios, and Marion Brick.   Burial will be at Anderson District Cemetery.

Funeral services for Josehpine Wheeler, 52, of Central Valley will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Esse's Funeral Chapel.  The Elder Norman Sharp will officiate.

Miss Wheeler died Thursday of natural causes at Mercy Hospital.

She had been a dental laboratory technician at the Cascade Dental Laboratory in Redding.

Miss Wheeler leaves her father, John W. Wheeler of Central Valley; two brothers, Loy Wheeler and Clinton Wheeler, both of Central Valley; and two sisters, Zona R. Solanin of Central Valley, and Alice Swafford of Redding.  Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery at Summit City.

She was born July 15, 1894 in Dallas County, Mo. And had lived in Shasta County for the past 44 years.

She leaves her husband, John of Central Valley; three sons, Clifton and Floyd, both of Central Valley, and loy of Redding; three daughters, Josephine Wheeler and Zona Sallinen, both of Central Valley, and Alice S. Wafford of Redding; three sisters, Della Ervin of Visalia, Pearl Ferrel of Blackwell, Okla., and Rose Huber of Tunis, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hesse's Funeral Chapel.  Burial will take place in the Newtown Cemetery, Central Valley.
