Cynthia June Leitzel, 73, of Redding died Saturday, July 21, 1990 at Canyonwood Nursing Home in Redding.

No services are planned.

Burial will be at the Redding Cemetery.

Born Nov. 6, 1916, in San Francisco, she moved to Shasta County in 1950 from Grass Valley.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by son Wayne of Dunsmuir; sister Florence Weiffenbach of Bradford, Conn.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

BURNEY-Funeral services for the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey L. Ludlum of Glenburn were conducted yesterday in McDonald's Burney chapel.  The Rev. James Haggard officiated.

Burial was in the Pine Grove cemetery in McArthur.

The child leaves her parents; three sisters, Linda, Debbie and Tammie; a brother, Rickey; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pope of Covelo; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ludlum of Whiteville, N.C.

Albert E. Williams of Redding, a retired miner and prospector, died in his apartment Monday.  He was 84.

He was born in Hamilton Township, New Jersey May 12, 1886 and had lived in Shasta County the past 50 years.

Williams had prospected in the Matheson area.

Funeral arrangements are being made at Lawncrest Funeral Services in Redding.

Coroner Glen R. Linn said Williams died of a heart attack.

John Maganus Nelson 1891 - 1960

WEED--John Maganus Nelson, 69, died Saturday in the Mt. Shasta community hospital.

A resident of Siskiyou county 30 years, he was a retired carpenter from the McCloud River Lumber company.  He was born in Norway April 24, 1891.

He leaves a cousin, Maganus Mardshal of Weed; a cousin, Mrs. Anna Hinstein of Minnesota; and four brothers and three sisters of Norway.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Upton's mortuary.  The Rev. M. Schubacker of the Dunsmuir Lutheran church will officiate.

Burial will be in Winema cemetery.

MOUNT SHASTA--  Dr. Werner Fletcher Hoyt, 86, of Mount Shasta died Wednesday at his home.

No services will be held.  His remains will be cremated.

Dr. Hoyt was born May 27, 1895, in Alameda and had been in private practice in Mount Shasta for 50 years.

He is survived by sons Fletcher of Mount Shasta, and William of San Francisco; daughter Margaret of Davis; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Services for Robert J. Olson, 62, of Redding will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at McDonald's Redding Chapel.

The Rev. Rick Green will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Redding Cemetery.  Visitation began at 4 p.m. today.

Mr. Olson died Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Billings, Mont., and was a maintenance foreman at Bridge Bay Resort on Shasta Lake for 10 years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Canoga Park, past captain of the Shasta Lake Volunteer Fire Department, and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Canoga Park.

He is survived by his wife Faye; sons Robert of Anderson, Dale of Canoga Park and Thomas of Redding; brothers Francis of Idaho, Elmo of Tennessee and Bud of Canada; and four grandchildren.

McDonald's Redding Chapel is handling arrangements.

Ted Hoelck 1891 - 1979

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at McDonald's Anderson Chapel for Ted Hoelck of Cottonwood.

A Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Cottonwood.

Hoelck died Wednesday at Crestwood Convalescent Hospital in Redding.  He was 88.

Born April 4, 1891, in Omaha, Neb., he lived in the Cottonwood area for many years.

He had worked with the architectural division of the state school system as a school building inspector.  He was a World War I Army veteran.

He leaves his wife, Mary of Cottonwood; five sons, Don, Ted Jr. and the Rev. Frank Hoelck, all of Nebraska, and Dean and Leeroy, both of California; and a sister, Alvena Weyl of Denver, Colo.

His son will officiate at the Mass.  Burial will be in Cottonwood District Cemetery.

Mrs. Ethel B. Cox, 68, died Saturday at her home in Burney.

A resident of Burney six years, she was born Sept. 2, 1892, in Cripple Creek, Colo.

She leaves her husband, Fred; two sons, Le Roy Winans and Raymond Winans, both of Chicago; three sisters and one brother of Rocky Ford, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. in McDonald's Burney chapel.  The Rev. Roland Boswell will officiate.

The body will be sent to Rocky Ford, Colo., for burial.

Cyris Rhoades, 50, Round Mountain rancher, died last night at a local hospital after an illness of but three days from a ruptured appendix.

Rhoades was born in Shasta county, February 27, 1880, and had resided here most of his life, engaging in farming and stock-raising.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Harriett Rhoades; his father, John R. Rhoades; three sons, ??cil Rhoades and Nelson Rhoades, both of Yuba City; Ad??on Rhoades of Redding; and three daughters, Mrs. Elva Stroup of Redding, Mrs. Madge Blake of Tracy and Mrs. Edna Summers of Cayton.  There are also seven grandchildren.

Funeral services, which are in charge of the Home Undertaking Company, have not yet been com??ted.

Everett Grant Baker 1865 - 1930

Everett Grant Baker, 65, for 35 years a merchant in Anderson, died in the Sisters' Hospital in Red Bluff yesterday morning at 11:30 o'clock.  He had been in the hospital one month.

Baker was born in Iowa and came to California 35 years ago, settling in Anderson, where he had resided since.  He owned and managed the E. G. Baker store during the entire period.

Baker was never married and the only surviving relative is G. G. Mitchell, a nephew, of Los Angeles, who has been in charge of the store at Anderson since Baker fell ill.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, in the Federated Church at Anderson with Rev. E. Moore officiating.  Interment will be made in the Masonic cemetery at Anderson.  McDonald & Scott of this city are in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services for Jesse F. McBride, 66, of Anderson, were to be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today at Anderson District Cemetery.

McBride, who was born Aug. 28, 1906, died Thursday in Mercy Hospital.

He had been a millwright at Kimberly Clark for 20 years and a resident of Anderson for 23 years.  McBride had lived in California for 60 years.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. Blanche Chase, 88, of Anderson.

McDonald's Anderson Chapel is handling the arrangements and the Rev. James Logan was to officiate.
