Bernard H. Eichman, 77, 1634 Blocki Ct., a retired Armour Leather Co. employee, died Saturday evening after being struck with an apparent heart attack at his home.

Born in Sheboygan on July 22, 2894, he was a son of the late Ferdinand and Wilhelmina Nack Eichman. He attended local schools.

On July 28, 1921, he married Anna Jehle in Waukegan, Ill. She died Feb. 3, 1971.

Mr. Eichman was an Armour Leather Co. employee for many years, retiring in 1960.

A US Army veteran of World War I, he served in Europe. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and Barracks 2091, Veterans of World War I.

Surviving are one son, James B. of Sheboygan; a daughter, Mrs. Richard {Carol} Wachter of Sheboygan Falls; two grandchildren and two brothers, Max of Sheboygan and Fred of Kenosha. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral serviced will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kroos-Mason Funeral Home, the Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor of St. John UCC, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Members of the Barracks 2091 VWWI will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Plymouth - {Special} - Mrs. Johanna Eimermann, 85, died Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Kissinger, Rhine Center, after an eight-week illness.

She was born May 9, 1855, in town Rhine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Pfeil. She married Jacob Eimermann on June 13, 1875. He died on Feb. 5, 1933. Since last June Mrs. Eimermann had lived with her daughter.

Survivors are the following children, Albert, town Rhine; Mrs. Herman {Laura} Guse, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. John {Nelda} Kissinger, Rhine Center; and Mrs. Paul {Irma}

Kissinger, town Rhine; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two brothers, Arthur of Glenbeulah and Richard of town Lima.

A funeral service for Leo E. Eigenberger, 75, of 1226 Alcott Ave., Howards Grove, who died Friday morning at Greendale Nursing home in Sheboygan, will be held Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth.

The Rev. William Jordan, pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and Vicar Davod Meggars, will officate. Buril will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Eigenberger was born March 25, 1911, in the Town of Cato, Manitowoc County, son of William and Emily Stahl Eigenberger.

He attended school in Plymouth.

On Sept. 7, 1935, he married Mildred Juers in Plymouth.

The couple lived in Iowa, where Mr. Eigenberger was employed as a cheesemaker and cheese grader until 1938. They moved to the Town of Plymouth at that time, and later to Van Dyne where he was employed until joining Trier Cheese in Sheboygan. The couple returned to the Town of Plymouth until 1978, when they moved to Howards Grove.

Mr. Eigenberger had also been employed at Kohler Co. from 1968 until his retirement in 1976.

He was formerly a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, and was currently a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

He was also a member of Johnsonville Rod and Gun club.

Surviving are his wife, one sister, Mrs. Al {Gladys} Griese of Appleton, and one brother, Kenneth of the Town of Rhine.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Word was received by Mrs. William Ebelt of Cascade {Sheboygan county} Wednesday that her son Oscar Ebelt died in action on Sept. 29, in France. The sad news is a severe blow to his mother and family, and the sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved mother and family in the loss of their son and brother.

Mrs. Hilda B. Eisold, 94, formerly of 1623 Blocki Court, died Tuesday, August 22, 1989 at Heritage Nursing Center where she had been a resident for the past 16 years.

The former Hilda Kleist was born May 25, 1895 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Adam and Barbara Urban Kleist. On November 20, 1913, she married Herman Eisold in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1960.

Mrs. Eisold was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Sylvera Bartzen, Harriette Eisold, Mrs. Hildegard Goric, Mrs. Sabina {August} Herman and Mrs. Marion {Arthur} Weber, all of Sheboygan. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Hilda B. Eisold will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 1989 at the Lippert Funeral Home. The Rev. Edwin C. Bek, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Harriette A. Eisold, 78, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home for the past 13 years, died there Saturday, June 4, 1994.

Born Dec. 4, 1915 in Sheboygan, Harriette was a daughter of the late Herman and Hilda Kleist Eisold. She attended St. Paul's Evangelical School and Sheboygan Vocational School. Harriette was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was confirmed there April 13, 1930.

Miss Eisold was employed by The Vollrath Company from January 1935 until her retirement in August, 1973.

She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Sylvera Bartzen, Mrs. Hildegard Goric, Mrs. Sabina {August} Herman and Mrs. Marion {Arthur} Weber, all of Sheboygan; six nieces, six nephews, seven great-nieces and ten great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

An 83 year old Millhome woman was killed Friday afternoon on State Highway 32 near Ada in the Town of Herman, after pulling out from a stop sign and being struck by a gravel truck.

The fatality was the third highway fatality in Sheboygan County in 1986.

Annie V. Eickhoff, 19812 Highway 57, Kiel, died of head injuries and a possible broken neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant County Coroner Robert A. Seretich, Sr.

The Sheriff's Department reported that Ralph J. Muellenbach, 30, Route 2, New Holstein, was southbound on Highway 32 in the Town of Herman.

Mrs. Eickhoff reportedly pulled out from a stop sign at County Trunk Highway EH, direcly into Muellenbach's path. Muellenbach struck the left front quarer of Mrs. Eickhoff's car.

Muellenbach was not injured. No citations were issued.

Mrs. Eickhoff, the former Annie Sinner, was born Aug. 28, 1902 in te Town of Herman, a daughter of the late William and Anna Zimmermann Sinner.

She attended district school at Ada.

On Sept. 29, 1923 she married Arvin Eickhoff at Bethel United Church of Chrit in the Town of Herman. The couple resided in Millhome.

He preceded her in death in 1977.

Mrs. Eickhoff was a member of Bethel UCC and the Ladies Aid Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth {Mae Ann} Mueller, Sheboygan; one son, Erwin, Kiel; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel UCC, with the Rev. James Sizelove, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery.

Arvin C. Eickhoff, 78 R. 2, Kiel, a retired roller mill operator and a director of the Howards Grove State Bank, died Friday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where he had been a patient for two days.

Born Dec. 21, 1898, at Millhome, he was a son of William and Louise Gierke Eickhoff. He attended Maple Corners School at Millhome.

On Sept. 29, 1923, he married Annie Sinner at Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1973.

Mr. Eickhoff had operated the Millhome Roller Mill until his retirement five years ago.

He was director of the Howards Grove State Bank for 15 years, a member of Bethel UCC and a former member of it's consistory and a past member of the Maple Corners School Board.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth {Mae Ann} Mueller, Sheboygan; a son, Ervin, Kiel, and seven grandchildren.

Two children preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel UCC, the Rev. Ward B. Malloy, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery.

Mr. Raymond E. Eisold, age 88, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home the past seven years, died there Monday evening.

He was born Jan. 14, 1899, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Demus and Louise Heyer Eisold.

On June 18, 1921, he married Esther Thiele of Sheboygan. She preceded him in death Feb. 12, 1979.

Mr. Eisold was employed at the former Dillingham Manufacturing and Leick Furniture for many years.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Willard Eisold of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Carl {Deloris} Scharrer of Sheboygan and Mrs. Ernst {Marlene} Albsmeier of Kohler; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, a great-grandson and 11 brothers and sisters.

Lester A. Engelhardt, 77, of 1634 N. 12th St., died Friday, March 23, 1990 at St. Nicholas Hospital.

He was born February 18, 1913 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Robert and Laura {Keppler} Engelhardt. Lester attended Sheboygan High School.

In 1948 he married Clemawelle DeSombre at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church.

Mr. Engelhardt served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945 and received the Asiatic Pacific Service and Good Conduct Medals.

Lester was an active member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Brotherhood of the church. He was also a member of the Association of Retarded Citizens and the Parent Activity Council of the Sheboygan Rehabilitation Center.

He is survived by his wife, Clemawelle; one daughter, Dee Renee Engelhardt, of Sheboygan; a niece, Mrs. Julie {Donald} Kemmer, of Kenosha, WI; a grandniece, Mrs. Debbie {Roger} Bean, of Sheboygan; and grandnephew, Robert {Nina Faye} Johnson, of St. Ansgar, IA and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Meta DeSombre, of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by a brother and a niece.

Mrs. Clemawelle Engelhardt, 78, of 1634 N. 12th St., died Wednesday, April 25, 1990 at St. Nicholas Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

The former Clemawelle De Sombre was born September 6, 1911 in Sheboygan, a daughter of Ferdinand and Meta Gartman De Sombre.

She married Lester Engelhardt in 1948 at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1990. Mrs. Engelhardt was employed at Wigwam Mills for over 25 years. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Sheboygan; the Altar Guild and the Women's Guild of the church. She also was a member of the Association of Retarded Persons and, for many years, was a volunteer worker at the voting polls.

She is survived by a daughter, Dee Renee, of Sheboygan; her mother, Meta, of Morningside Health Center; a niece, Mrs. Julie {Donald} Kemmer, of East Troy, MI; three grandnieces, Mrs. Debbie {Roger} Bean, of Sheboygan, Sherry Naber and Lori Millikin, both of East Troy; and a grandnephew, Robert {Nina Faye} Johnson, of St. Ansgar, IA. She was also preceded in death by her father and brother.

Mrs. Susan K. Ehle born in the state of New York on March 17, 1832 died at the home of Wm. Ubbelohde at Waldo, February 21. Funeral was held February 24, with interment in the Fond du Lac cemetery. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Ehle lived between Greenbush and St. Cloud.

William Esbach, 78 years, passed away yesterday afternoon shortly after 4 o'clock at his late home 416 New York avenue after being ill three days with pneumonia.

He was born in Germany and came to this country when a young man and had lived in Sheboygan for forty years. He had lived at 416 New York avenue for the past 37 years.

He is survived by four daughters and four sons, Charles, Frankfort, Mich., William, Chicago, Otto, California, Albert, Sheboygan, Mrs. Lintner, Chicago, Mrs. Kuhne, Plymouth, Mrs. Mary Beitz, Sheboygan and Miss Annie at home. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be in Wildwood cemetery.

Mrs. Edler Dies as a Result of Car Crash Injuries

Elkart Lake - Mrs. Henry Edler, 49, of this city, who was critically injured in an automobile collision Memorial Day noon, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Plymouth hospital. Mr. Edler, the driver, and their two daughters, Louise and Mildred, received minor injuries when their machine collided with one driven by Gordon Trester of Sheboygan, six miles north of here.

Anna Boedeker Edler, was born January 17, 1880, in the town of Lyndon.

She was married to Henry Edler at Sheboygan Falls on August 15, 1915.

The family came here from Sheboygan two years ago.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, three brothers, Ben Boedeker, on the homestead in the town of Lyndon; Arthur Boedeker of Blue Earth, Minnesota, and George Boedeker of Almena, Wisconsin. Two sons preceded her in death.

Last rites wil be conducted at the Edler home at 1 p.m. Sunday and at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church in Plymouth. The Rev. Martin Schmidt will officiate and internment will be in Sheboygan Falls cemetery.

Harriette A. Eichmann, 83, of 2330 S. Ninth Street, died Saturday afternoon, May 29, 1999, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Harriette was born Jan. 1, 1916 in Janesville. She came to Sheboygan in her youth and lived with her foster parents, Herman and Olga Hoelle. She attended local elementary schools and graduated from Sheboygan High School.

On Sept. 28, 1940, she married Marvin E. Eichmann, an Armour Leather Co. employee. Mr. Eichmann preceded her in death in April 1987.

Mrs. Eichmann was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Rebecca's Lodge, where she served as past president.

Over the years, Harriette belonged to a number of card clubs where she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; a daughter and son-in-law; two grandchildren; a sister; a sister-in-law and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and foster parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Milton H. Ford, pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Beatrice Elliott, 84 years of age, a resident of Morningside Health Center, died at Morningside on Sunday evening after a short illness.

Beatrice was born on March 16, 1915 in Sheboygan the daughter of thelate Herman and Augusta Patzer Huehns. She graduated from Sheboygan High School in 1933. On August 31, 1935 she married Darrell J. Elliott in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1972. She was employed for many years, in the office of Heritage Nursing Home in Sheboygan.

She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Sheboygan.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, two nephews, as well as nephews and nieces of sisters-in-law of the deceased.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at the Huehns-Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Thomas Gudmundson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Jacob Etzkorn, prominent farmer of the town of Wilson, died at his residence this morning after a 10-week illness. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Etzkorn was born in Coblenz {not true, he was born in Dorweiler a village in the Coblenz area - comment of Baerbel}, Germany on Oct. 30. 1861, son of Frank {in Germany called Franz, c.o.B.} and Margaret {Margarethe Jacobs, c.o.B.} Etzkorn. He came to this country with his parents {not true: his parents stayed in Dorweiler, Germany, c.o. B.} in 1880. He was united in marriage to Miss Sophia Braun in St. George's church, Town Wilson, on Jan. 19. 1892 by Rev. Dieringer.

{Note: Franz & Margaret were actually his grandparents. This is the true information on his parents: Jacob Etzkorn b. 31st Aug. 1825, died 10th March 1880 in Dorweiler/ Germany Margaretha Kneip b. 17th Nov. 1826 in Dommershausen/Germany, died 2nd Sept. 1885 in Dorweiler/Germany. His parents never came to America.}

They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year. For 10 years after their marriage the couple operated a tavern at Six Corners and for the past 41 years they lived on their farm onehalf mile east of Six Corners on County Trunk V.

Mr Etzkorn was a member of St. George's curch for over 50 years and was affilliated with the Holy Name society of that church.

Survivors are the widow {Sophia Braun ; c. o. B}, four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Haen and Mrs. Mrs. Jacob Straus of this city, Mrs. Carl Rammer of Town Wilson, and Mrs. Ray Trautschold of Kohler; three son, Anton of De-Grey, S. Dak.; Nick of Kohler, and Alfred at home; 24 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Albert, two sisters and one brother {my gggranddad, c.o.B.}.

Mrs. Amelia {Millie} Ertel, 77, of 1022 High Ave., died early this morning at her home.

She was born in Sheboygan {?} on June 8, 1888 {?}, the daughter of the late Andrew and Amelia {Gartmann} Koch. She attended Longfellow School and was married to Adolph Schillingosky in 1907 {sic, 1906}. Her husband preceded her in death in 1934.

In September 1943 she was married to Max Ertel, who died in 1955.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and the Charity Circle of the church.

Survivors are one son, Orville Schilling, of Sheboygan; one step-son, Martin Ertel, of Kohler; one grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Kathke and Mrs. Louise Grasse, both of Sheboygan. One son {Arthur} preceded her in death.

Max Ertel, 75, of 420 Church St., Kohler, died late Saturday night at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Born Dec. 17, 1879, in Germany, he came to Sheboygan as a child and was married to Miss Anna Kwekkeboom on May 15, 1907. She died Nov. 17 1942.

On Sept. 18, 1953 {sic, 1943} he was married to Minnie Schilling.

A resident of Kohler Village for 45 years, Mr. Ertel was employed at the Kohler Co. until his retirement five years ago. He was a member of the Kohler Co. Quarter Century Club and Bethany Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife; one son, Martin; two stepsons, Orville and Arthur Schilling; five grand children, and 10 great-grandchildren. His parents and one son, Harold of Richland, Wash., preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Steffen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Edwin L. Burfeind, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church of Kohler, officiating. Burial will be in Kohler cemetery.

Death of a son of musician John Eberle, former resident here but now of Sheboygan, on Tuesday at age 16.

On Friday morning {Dec. 18} Mrs. John Eisert, an elderly settler from the Town Meeme, was found dead in bed. A coroner�s inquest jury decided that she had died of heart failure. Mrs. Eisert was 77 years, 1 month and 11 days old. She is survived by her third husband and several adult children from her first marriage. The burial took place Monday {Dec. 21} at the Holy {Trinity} Church cemetery.

Izet - Mrs. Marguerite Izet, mother of Martin and John of this city, died Friday morning at her home in Schoolhill, Manitowoc county. The deceased was in her seventy-second year, and has been a resident of Schoolhill for many years. Besides the two sons residing in this city, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bargainkost, of New Holstein, Mrs. Henry Kliever of Marshfield, also one son, Peter Beyer residing in Seattle, Washington. Martin and John Beyer went to Schoolhill this morning to attend the funeral which will be held Monday.

n.b. Margaret was the daughter of Anton and Margaret Dax Petri. She was born on 17 Nov. 1827 in Valwig, Rheinland-Pfalz. She immigrated to Calumet Twp., Fond du Lac Co. with her parents in 1847. Her children, Martin Beyer {md. Katherine Theisen}, Peter Beyer, Mary {md. Henry Cliver}, John Baptist {Katherine Theisen}, Anna {md. John Peter Bargenquast}, and Clara {md. Gustave Herman Gadke} survived her. Her children, Elizabeth Beyer, Helen {md. Joseph Bruns and Henry Sinner}, Margaret {md. John Tintinger}, Joseph Beyer all preceded her death. Her first husband, Gerhard Beyer, died on June 11, 1873. Her second husband, Joseph Schumacher, died on Sept. 22, 1897. John George Eisert died on Oct. 24, 1909. She lived in Russell Township and the village of Ada most of her life.

Mrs. Harry Erbstoeszer, 73, of Haven, died suddenly Monday at the home of friends in Haven.

The former Hilda Schumacher, she was born in the Town of Herman May 11, 1891, the daughter of the late Simon and Anna Schumacher. On June 19, 1915, she was married to Harry Erbstoeszer. They always made their home in Haven.

Mrs. Erbstoeszer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Mosel, a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church, and a member of the church choir.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Harold {Violet} Usadel of Millersville and Mrs. Robert {Helen} Larson of Chilton; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Laura Knoener of Sheboygan; and one brother, Oscar Schumacher of R. 1, Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Mosel with the Rev. William Robinson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Nickel's Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday and then at the church from noon until the time of services.

Vera McCarty Ehrlich, 95, formerly of Tamarack House, a resident of Sunny Ridge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center for the last 2 1/2 years, went home to be with her Lord Friday evening, May 14, 2004.

Vera was born June 13, 1908, in the Town of Schleswig, to John and Elizabeth {Uhl} Rosenbauer.

On Nov. 21, 1925, Vera and Milton McCarty were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1949.

On March 31, 1951, Vera and Gustav Ehrlich were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1969.

Vera was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Haven and continued attending church services at Tamarack and at Sunny Ridge. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan and her hobbies included crocheting, cooking, gardening and traveling to the Grand Ole Opry.

She was a good sheepshead and cribbage player and enjoyed socializing with her friends, but her family was her pleasure and the loving focus of her life.

Vera is survived by a daughter-in-law, a sister, Helen Spannagle of Sheboygan; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a stepson, a stepdaughter, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, Vera was preceded in death by her son, Larry McCarty; a great-granddaughter, Brianna; five sisters; and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 17 at Ballhorn Chapels. The Rev. Ron D. Pederson, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Haven, will officiate.

A time of visitation and support will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Ebeling, 81, passed away at 9 o�clock Wednesday morning of this week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Goetsch at Franklin. She had been a resident of the town of Rhine for 45 years.

The deceased, nee Strub, was born Dcc. 4, 1854, in Schwabsburg, Hecken, Darmstadt, Germany. At the age of five years, she came to this country with her mother and brother, settling in Washington county. Her husband, Fred Ebeling, passed away in June, 1910. Her brother, Jacob Strub, and a sister, Mrs. Eva Brickbauer, preceded her in death. Surviving her are a daughter at Franklin, and one son, Fred, of Ada. There are 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the Raeder Funeral Home at Elkhart Lake at 1:30, and at 2 o�clock at the St. Peter Evangelical church in Rhine, the Rev. Paul Thomas officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. The remains may be viewed at the funeral home Friday, and Saturday until the time of the last rites.

John Evans, of the town of Greenbush, died Sunday, Jan. 15, at St. Nicholas hospital, aged seventy-four years. The remains were laid to rest in Wildwood cemetery Tuesday afternoon.

Fred Eichstaedt, 57, 1617 N. Third street, died suddenly at his home this morning following a heart attack.

Born May 21, 1885, in Sheboygan, he was the son of Frederick and Christine Eichstaedt. He attended Grant school and later learned the tool and die making trade. He had been employed at the Jenkins Machine company, the Globe Foundry, and for the past five years he had worked at the Eclipse Manufacturing company.

Surviving are two brothers ... and three sisters ...

Gibbsville - Jacob P. Eernisse, 69, a life-long resident of the town of Lima, passed away Tuesday evening after a lingering illness.

Born Jan. 8, 1873, he was married to Elizabeth Ruselink, April 19, 1899.

Surviving are his wife; five children, ... two brothers, ... and four sisters ... Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Alfred C. Eichstedt, 58, of Batavia, who passed away at Memorial Hospital last Tuesday, were held at the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church, Batavia, at 1 p.m. Friday.

The Rev. W. R. Maechtle officiated and burial was made in the Union Cemetery at Campbellsport.

The male quartet of the church, Leland Peter, Rutherford Peter, Ray Miller and Franklin Miller, sang, �Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me,� �Rock of Ages,� and �That Beautiful Land.�

Pallbearers were Oscar Schneider, Frank Held, Leonard Laux, John Siebanaler, Gust Mehlos and Otto Mehlos.

Mrs. Mattie G. Edwards, 84, widow of Robert J. Edwards, passed away suddenly Thursday noon at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Edwards, 2020 N. 9th St., where she had been residing since 1929.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Buffalo, Wis., on January 15, 1867, daughter of the late William and Anna Gorsline. They lived in Montello for a time and, after attending the schools in Seymour, she taught at high schools in Antigo, Shawano and Seymour. Her marriage to Robert J. Edwards was performed in Seymour on September 27, 1893. They then came to Sheboygan to reside. She was active as a teacher of piano and an art instructor for many years in this city.

She was a faithful member of the First Methodist church since 1912 and was affiliated with the Susannah circle of the Women�s society of Christian Service; and was a former member of the official church board. She was also an active member of the Auxiliary of the American Legion, having service as local president, and as parliamentarian for 29 years. She also held the office of district vice-president and parliamentarian.

Survivors are her son, Kenneth; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Clarence (Gertrude) Rohde, of Plymouth. Her husband passed away on March 11, 1924 and she was also preceded in death by two daughters and a grandson, Robert Edwards, who was killed in action on Okinawa during World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Gerend�s Funeral home, with the Rev. T. Parry Jones, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will take place on the family lot in Wildwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie G. Edwards, 84, who died Thursday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Edwards, 2020 N. 9th St., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Rev. T. Perry Jones, pastor of the First Methodist church, conducted the rites at Gerend�s Funeral home. Burial was made on the family lot in Wildwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alvin C. Anderson, Cliff B. Engeswick, Vernon Green, Milton Pilling, Clarence F. Whiffen and Earl Witzel.

Members of the American Legion auxiliary served as color guard and guard of honor at the funeral home. The organization attended the services in a body.

During the services, Thelma Gray Dittrich sang two solo selections, �Lead, Kindly Light� and �Precious Lord, Take My Hand�. The organ accompanist was Mrs. Clarence F. Whiffen.

Miss Alice Eleanor Eckersley, 40, died at three o�clock on Wednesday afternoon at her home, 116 Fairview drive in Plymouth, after an illness of three months.

She was born on April 18, 1902(?) at the present home the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eckersley. Her entire life was spent in Plymouth and she graduated from the local high school.

Her affiliations included the Girls Friendly society of which she was president, the Altar Guild of which she was a director, and the Women�s auxiliary of the St. Paul�s Episcopal church. Previous to her illness she was an active member of the Plymouth Red Cross unit.

Survivors are a sister Mrs. ___lon Kohl, Ripon, her two aunts, the Misses Ruth and _____ at home and three nieces.

The body may be viewed at the Gentine Funeral home from 3:30 o�clock on Friday until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and from 11 a.m. that morning until 1:45 p.m. She will lie in state at the St. Paul�s Episcopal church after which the casket will be closed. Services will be held there at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E. J. Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial will be in the Union cemetery in the family lot.

Mrs. Emily Eichenberger, 48, wife of Niles Eichenberger, passed away at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Plymouth hospital. She had been ill for one month.

She was born in the town of Herman on September 27, 1902, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Buscher. She graduated from the Sheboygan County Normal school and later taught at schools at Pigeon river, Johnsonville, and Hull�s Crossing. On June 24, 1923, She was married to Niles Eichenberger at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church in Sheboygan. The couple lived in Plymouth since their marriage.

Mrs. Eichenberger was a member of the Salem Evangelical and Reformed church of Plymouth, the Willing Workers of the church, the Woman�s Missionary society, Loyalty chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and was education chairman for the North Wisconsin Synod Woman�s guild. She was a Sunday school teacher, a past matron of Loyalty chapter and president of the Past Worthy Matrons� society. She was also past president of the Sheboygan Regional Woman�s guild of the Evangelical and Reformed church.

The survivors include her husband; one son, Roger, of the town of Sheboygan Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Allan (Ardell) Roeck of Madison; two grandchildren, two brothers, Herbert of Marinette and Adolph of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Anderson of Sheboygan and Mrs. Harold Peterson of Milwaukee. Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Salem Evangelical and Reformed church with the Rev. Harold Ley officiating. Burial will be made in the Woodlawn cemetery. Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral home until 11 a.m. Tuesday. The body will lie in state at the church from noon to the time of services Tuesday.

Anthony G. �Tony� Enders, 56, of W8633 Lincoln Road, Van Dyne, died unexpectedly of a heart attack while in Seattle, Wash., on Friday, Sept. 19, 1997.

He was born on May 10, 1941, in the Town of Greenbush, a son of Gregor and Thersia Drolshagan Enders. On Nov. 10, 1962, he married Diane Van Pelt at Glenbeulah. They resided in the Town of Greenbush.

On Sept. 11, 1993, he married Christine Kapusta Johnson at St. Mary�s Mission in the Town of Eldorado, where they also made their home.

Mr. Enders was a 1959 graduate of Plymouth High School. He was an over-the-road truck driver and owner-operator for 33 years � 17 with Spector Freight Systems.

He was a life member of the NRA and a member of Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.

Mr. Enders was a former member of St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah, and was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Oshkosh at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, two sons, two stepchildren, eight grandchildren (names omitted for privacy), and his companions, Princess and Arkie.

Preceding him in death were one son, William; and two brothers, Alfred and Alex.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah. The Rev. Daniel Lasecki will officiate. Burial will be at St. Fridolin Cemetery in the Town of Greenbush.

Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of services Thursday at Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth. A parish vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Loretta T. Enders, 77, of 1509 Coolidge St., New Holstein, died June 13, 1989, at St. Agnes Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born Dec. 23, 1911 in Jericho, the daughter of Peter and Rose Leitner Lisowe.

On June 19, 1935, she was married to Roman Kohlmann at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. He died May 3, 1969. She married Louis Enders on April 5, 1975, at St. Pius X Church in Milwaukee.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Yvonne) Basler, rural Chilton; one grandson, James Basler; five sisters, Mrs. Leone Herzog, rural Chilton, Mrs. Lester (Veronica) Konz, Kiel, Mrs. Hugo (Cecelia) Graf, Plymouth, Mrs. Sylvester (Mildred) Abler, St. Cloud, and Mrs. Barbara Mihm, Mount Calvary; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Douglas (Alice) Brennan, Valders, Mrs. Patrick (Joan) Popp, Reedsville, and Mrs. Thomas (Jean) Kramer, Valders; six step-grandchildren; four step- great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Lisowe, Florida, and Mrs. Irene Lisowe, Stockbridge.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Theresia M. Enders, 89, of Glenbeulah, passed away Friday evening, July 14, 1995 at Valley View Medical Center in Plymouth, after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home.

She was born Mar. 2, 1906 in Dotyville, Wis., a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Snyder (sic: Schneider) Drolshagen. She attended school in Dotyville. Following school, she worked in Fond du Lac as a housekeeper.

On Feb. 21, 1933, she was united in marriage to Gregor Enders at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. The couple lived and farmed in the Town of Greenbush, their entire married life. Her husband preceded in death on Jan. 8, 1983. She is a member of St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah.

Survivors include one son, Anthony (name omitted for privacy) Enders, VanDyne, Wis; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Adolph) Marquardt, Columbus, Wis. She was preceded in death by two sons, Alfred and Alex; one grandson, William; six brothers and three sisters.

A funeral mass for Theresia Enders will be celebrated on Wed. July 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah, preceded by brief family rites at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth at 9:15 a.m. Fr. Dan Lasecki, pastor and Fr. James Cera, will concelebrate the mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Town of Greenbush. Mrs. Edward {Ella} Even, 68, formerly of 1435 S. 14th St., a resident of Heritage Nursing Center for the past 10 months, died there this morning.

She was born in the Town of Meeme, July 13, 1901, a daughter of the late August and Helen Schreibert. She attended school in the Town of Herman.

On July 24, 1943, she was married to Edward Even.

She had been employed at the H. C. Prange Co. for 38 years until her retirement in 1966.

Mrs. Even was a lifelong member of St. John United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald.

Survivors are her husband; two brothers, Hugo, Two Rivers, and August, Kiel; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Lutze, Valders, Mrs. Leslie Reinke, R. 1, Cleveland; Mrs. Lester Luebke, and mrs. Carl Schrank, both of Manitowoc.

Her parents, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John UCC in Schwartzwald, with the Rev. William Bender, pastor of Immanuel UCC, R. 3, Plymouth, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The former Anna Markgraf was born in Russia Aug. 13, 1884, a daughter of the late Harold and Sophie Markgraf. She came to Sheboygan in 1903 and on Dec. 6 of that year was married to Phillip Eirich who survives.

She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Frauen Verein of the church.

Other survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Richard Gross of Fond du Lac. Mrs. Paul Stegemeyer, Mrs. Elva Kuether and Mrs. Amo Stegemeyer, all of Sheboygan, Miss Pauline Eirich at home.

Mrs. Milton Yecke of West Bend, Mrs. Eleanore Sand of San Bernardino, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. One daughter and two sons preceded her in death.

Ceil Mary, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Engelhardt of 1719 Grams Court, passed away at birth this morning at the Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. Survivors are the parents, a brother, Ralph, and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Alma Engelhardt. Funeral services were held at the Ramm Funeral Home this afternoon with the Rev. Carl Ladewig officiating, and burial was made in the family lot in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilda England who died Thursday morning at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital after a lingering illness will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Robert H. Kroos Funeral home, with burial in Wildwood. The Rev. T. Parry Jones will officiate.

Mrs. England, who lived at 912 Georgia avenue, was born Feb. 12, 1867, in Malmo, Sweden, coming to the United States as a young girl, and living first in New York. She was married to Otto England, and 45 years ago they came to Sheboygan. Mr. England died in 1935.

Surviving are four children, Edward O. England of Flushing, N.Y., Mrs. Hugo (Bertha) Janssen, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Martens, and Arthur, all of Sheboygan. There are ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Martha Ehaney, 85, of 410 Giddings avenue, Sheboygan Falls, passed away Thursday at 9:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. Ehaney was a pioneer resident of Sheboygan county and was born Sept. 4, 1857, in town Holland, the daughter of Cornelius and Katherine Vande Jagt. On Dec. 15, 1874, she was married to Robert Ehaney in town Holland.

She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ruben Ehrlich, of Sheboygan Falls, for some time. She was a member of the Falls Baptist church.

Survivors are two sons, Maurice and Oscar, of Sheboygan; a daughter, Mrs. Rueben Ehrlich, of Sheboygan Falls; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Murrey of Sheboygan; a grandson, Robert Ehaney, of Sheboygan; two granddaughters, Mrs. Jane Ehaney of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Harold Specht of Sheboygan Falls. Her husband, two sons and a daughter preceded her in death.

After a brief illness Miss Clara J. End, aged 85, passed away at St. Nicholas hospital on Saturday afternoon. She had been a patient there only three days.

The daughter of pioneer residents, Mr. and Mrs. George End, she was born in this city on Feb. 24, 1857, and lived there throughout her long life. Her father was a merchant and later became president of the Bank of Sheboygan, an office he held for a long time. Miss End attended schools in the city. Many years she devoted to the care of her aged parents. She was a faithful member of St. Clement's church, the Catholic Women's Charity club and of the Holy Family society of St. Clement's church.

Since March she had gone to St. Nicholas hospital daily to administer to the needs of her sister, Mrs. Gustave Schrage, who fractured her hip and arm in a serious fall then. From 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. she remained with her sister to whom she was very devoted. Hers was a life of service for others without thought of self, and no one could ever serve her. She was a kind, charitable and civic-minded woman who lived nobly. Miss End had a keen memory and vividly recalled Civil war days, Abraham Lincoln and the mourning that his death caused in Sheboygan as well as throughout the nation.

Two sisters survive her, Mrs. Gustave Schrage, with whom she lived, and Mrs. William Braasch, also of this city. Her parents and three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at St. Clement's church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Rev. John D. Durnin officiating. The body will be taken to the home on Tuesday morning, 810 Sixth street, and may be viewed there.

Otto W. Eickmeyer, 75, of Menominee, Mich., passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's hospital there.

Born April 27, 1874, in Sheboygan, he was married to Miss Emma Gray in 1901 in this city. The couple moved to Menominee after their marriage where Mr. Eickmeyer conducted a roofing and sheet metal business since 1921.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, William of Escanaba, Otto, Jr., of Menominee and Walter of Abilene, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. L. H. Flagel of Sheboygan and Mrs. A. G. Kroos, Sr., of Kohler; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Menominee, and the body will be brought to Sheboygan Monday afternoon with graveside services to be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Wildwood cemetery.

Mrs. Marie Eversdyk, 47, wife of Leonard Eversdyk, 918 N. Fourth street, passed away at 7:10 p.m., Sunday, at St. Nicholas hospital.

Mrs. Eversdyk was born April 4, 1891, in the Netherlands, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Flink. She came to this country, directly to Sheboygan, with her parents in 1912 and on Dec. 18 of the same year was united in marriage with Leonard Eversdyk.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Eversdyk is survived by 10 children, Mrs. Alfred Korlesky, Oconto; Mrs. Henry Braeger, Margaret, Leonard, Jr., Josephine, Johanna, Albert, Virginia, Dorothy and Marion; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Flink; one grand-daughter, Mary Ann Braeger; a brother, Frank Flink, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Van der Plasse, all of this city.

Mrs. Eversdyk was a devoted wife and mother, who will be greatly missed in her home. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral temple. The Rev. W. Clyde Wilson will officiate and interment will be made in Wildwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral temple from this evening to the time of services.

Harry Eichmeier, 73, a former Town of Russell farmer, died Tuesday evening at Sheboygan County Hospital where he had been a patient for about four years.

He was born Feb. 24, 1895, in the Town of Charlestown, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Eichmeier.

During most of his adult life he was engaged in farming in Calumet and Sheboygan Counties.

He was not married.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Schaefer, Chilton, and Mrs. Violet Ranquette, Milwaukee and a brother, Herman, Chilton.

Funeral servies will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Rev. John F. Baumann, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, officiating. Burial will be in New Holstein City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m Thursday.

Christ Ertel, 78, of Rt. 1, Cleveland, died Thursday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapel, Sheboygan. The Rev. Clarence W. Schultz, pastor of Immanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, will officiate and entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Sheboygan.

Mr. Ertel was born July 21, 1895, in Russia, son of the late John and Regena Ertel. In 1911 he came to Sheboygan. He married Sophia Gross of Sheboygan Aug. 14, 1920. He was employed at Kohler Co. until 1935, when he moved to the Town of Centerville, Manitowoc County. He was then employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. until his retirement in 1961.

Survivors include his wife, six sons, Paul Otto and LeRoy of the Town of Centerville, Melvin, of Sheboygan, Walter, of Milwaukee and Edward, of Rt. 3, Campbellsport; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Marlys) Salm, of Rt. 1, Newton; a brother, John of Sheboygan; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at Ballhorn Funeral Chapel after 5 o'clock this Friday afternoon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Herman Edler was instantly killed this morning a mile south of Plymouth when the oil truck which he was driving was struck and crushed by a Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul passenger train at 9 o'clock. The truck was demolished and gasoline thrown over the coach of the train, two of them catching fire, which did considerable damage before it could be extinguished. The train was stopped a short distance from the accident and the passengers unloaded before anyone was injured.

Edlar's body was taken to the Wittkopp undertaking parlors at Plymouth and an inquest has been called. Arrangements for the funeral will be made later.

Edler was employed by the Clark Oil company of this city at the Plymouth station since it was established three years ago and was a trusted employee. He reported for work at the usual time this morning, loaded one of the large trucks and started on his round. The accident occured on the road at the Brickbauer Mills crossing, a mile south of Plymouth. The big truck was caught squarely on the crossing by the passenger train and was demolished crushing out Edler's life almost instantly. The accident was reported to the Clark offices here and Thomas and George Clark left at once for the scene of the accident.

Mr. Edler was thirty-five years old, a native of Plymouth, married and is survived by his widow and three children.

The funeral of Mrs. Louise Eberlein will be private and will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Wildwood cemetery.

The funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Louise Eberlein, 725 Jefferson avenue were held at 10 o'clock this morning, the services being private. Rev. James White officiated and the pall bearers were Henry Wolf, Louis Wolf, Anton Fessler, Henry Fessler, Henry Schroeder, F.S. McDuffie and C. McDuffie and C. Hoppert. The surviving daughters are: The Misses Anna M. and Tillie Eberlein and Mrs. John Methfessel of Sheboygan, the Misses Lena and Mildred Eberlein of Chicago and Miss Marie Eberlein of Valparaiso, Ind.

Died At Home In GibbsvilleMrs. Abraham Eernisse, a well known pioneer resident of this county, died at her home in Gibbsville yesterday at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her husband and several children. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from the house and 12 o'clock from the church. Rev. Strack will officiate. Interment will be made in the Gibbsville cemetery. Mrs. Eernisse came to this county from Netherlands when a small child and made her home in the town of Lima. She was highly respected and well liked by all who knew her.

Arno Eichstaedt, the three and a half months old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Eichstaedt died yesterday morning of summer complaint. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, 1201 South Fifteenth street. The Rev. Burger officiating. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Casper Eimermann, one of the pioneers, and of the earliest settlers of the town of Rhine died Friday, dissolution being due to old age. He was known throughout the county and had scores of friends in this city. He is survived by six children, Jacob and Herman of the town of Rhine, Philip of Marshal, Dane County, Mrs. Henry Schmidt and Mrs. Frank Martin of Milwaukee and Mrs. A.G. Meyers of Madison. Mr. and Mrs. Meyers arrived from Madison this afternoon to attend the funeral which will be held on Monday.

Millersville - Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Erbstoeszer attended the funeral of the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Erbstoeszer in Mosel Thursday...Mrs. Christ Erbstoeszer and daughter Hildegard of Mosel and Mrs. John Erbstoeszer of Sheboygan were guests of the latter's son Edward...Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Erbstoeszer were Mosel visitors on Saturday.

Samuel Ernisse, aged 82 years, died Wednesday at the home of his son-in-law, John Van Akkeren, 92? Dillingham avenue. Mr. Ernisse was born in Holland in 1820. He was an old and highly respected resident of this city.
