Mrs. Peter Traas {Clara nee Bogen}, aged 24, died yesterday morning at the St. Nicholas hospital of appendicitis, after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband who is employed at the H. C. Prange store. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from her late home, 1308 Maryland avenue at 1:30 and from the Immanuel Lutheran church at 2 o'clock the Rev, George Burger officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
The recent death of Harvey Tupper, {Uncle Harv, as he was familarly called} is deserving of more than a passing notice and, would have been mentioned last week, but for want of certain information since obtained. Deceased was one of the few remaining genuine old settlers of Sheboygan County, and his departure is another warning to his remaining comrades of the early days in the wilderness. He was born at Pittsford, Rutland Co, Vermont, Nov. 13, 1880, and lacked but a few months of 83 years of active effort, struggle and hope. In 1812, a memorable year in American history he removed with his father's family to St. Lawrence Co., NY, remaining there until 1834 when another removal was made to Summit Co., Ohio. He came into this county with his family in 1846 and located 240 acres of land, 40 in Sec. 6, town of Lima, and 200 acres in section 1, town of Lyndon, and established a home in the latter town, where he resided for several years, doing pioneer work and teaching his children to labor. As age and hard hard work began to tell upon him and the mother of his children, he made a verbal agreement with his son Oramel, {then married}, to maintain the old people during their natural lives and thereupon conveyed to Oramel the 160 acre tract in sec. 1. {Oramel went into the Union army during the rebellion, and died of sickness contracted in the line of duty}. For some reason the old couple moved with another son, Newton, {who had a home on the 40 acres} about 1858 or perhaps earlier, and did not return to Oramel's, but removed with Newton, to Cascade in Glenboulah, and when Newton removed to Missouri {about 7 years ago} taking his mother with him, "Uncle Harvey" took up his abode with another son, Marcus, at the Glen. Marcus died about 3 years ago, and since that time Marcus' widow has cared for the aged pioneer with a devotion and heroism worthy of all praise. The wife of "Uncle Harvey" had preceeded him about 7 years, having surrendered to the grim reaper soon after reaching Missouri. It may truly be said of deceased, that he lived an honorable life, and although he had chopped and logged and burned, with a view to laying up a competency, he died leaving nothing but a good name, and his funeral expenses were borne by his surviving bother, Ebenezer of Lima.
Susie Trester, 85, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, died Saturday morning, Feb. 20, 1999, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Susie was born Aug. 29, 1913 in Sheboygan to Cornelius and Paulina {De Pagter} Bayens.
She was formerly married to Floyd Hertz. On July 28, 1952, she married Paul H. Trester of Sheboygan. The couple were former residents of Tamarack House. Mr. Trester preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1991.
Mrs. Trester was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Susie took pride in her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Neil Peaschek of Sheboygan; a granddaughter, a grandson, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. Milton H. Ford, pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorns on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
James Timler, age 69, of Sheboygan, died at his home Sunday morning, June 6, 1999.
James was born in Peshtigo on October 8, 1929, a son of the late Frank and Cora {Bailey} Timler.
He was a 1949 gradute of Sheboygan Central High School. On June 30, 1956, he married the former MaryAnn Schaefer at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.
For many years, Jim was a firefighter for the city of Sheboygan retiring in 1990. He was a member of Sheboygan County Oldtimers Baseball Association, Riverdale Golf Club and Immaculate conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters, six grandchildren, three sisters, and a brother. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for James on Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Glenn Powers, pastor, as celebrant. James' remains will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church, 1305 Humboldt Avenue, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in Jim's name.

Joe Termaat, Cherry Grove, Dies At 81
The funeral of Mr. Joe Termaat was held Feb. 19th at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cherry Grove, Minnesota. The Rev. M. P. Northern was the officiating clergyman.
Mrs. Peter Mathews was the organist and Dale Ruesink, Howard Wesseling, Orrin Nagel and Roland Graling were singers. Pall Bearers were Gordon Watson, Emmett Kingsley, Herman Keim, Harry Adams, Winifred Hall and Ed van Grevenhoff. Interment was at the Cherry Grove Cemetery with the Zachow funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Joe Termaat was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Termaat. He was born in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin on Nov. 22, 1878. He passed from this life on Feb. 16, 1960 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Cresco, Iowa. His age was 81 years, 2 months, and 24 days.
In the year 1898, Joe moved to Minnesota, and into the Cherry Grove Community. Here he has spent his entire life.
In 1899 he was united in marriage to Hattie Smallbrock. Four children were born to this union, three boys and a girl. They still make their home together. Mrs. Termaat died on November 20, 1943. The children are Everett, Ben, Fay and Claris.
Joe had been in poor health since September of 1959. He had been in the hospital several times, both at Cresco and also in the Methodist Hospital, Rochester, at which place he had surgery in December. He endured these hardships patiently, in the interest of his family, to whom he was deeply devoted, and they to him.
He, and his family have been members of this Cherry Grove Evangelical United Brethren Church for over fifty years.
He is survived by his four children, and a great number of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. He was the last survivor of his family.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to our relatives, neighbors and friends for their kindness and help during our recent illness and death of our beloved Dad.

Death of Mr. F. Tempelmann of Two Rivers who died suddenly of a heart attack in Sheboygan. {No date given}

Death last Wednesday in Mishicot Home, where he has boarded for many weeks, of John Turner. He was buried Saturday from the Catholic Church. He is a former resident of Sheboygan where his wife died leaving him with a son and daughter.
He later suffered a stroke which left him lame on one side, and the City of Sheboygan had to support him and his family. He then came here to be with his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bangniet with whom he lived for several years. About a year ago his mother died and his inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Pennier of Sheboygan took in the children. In our local area he sold trees and seeds until he fell ill and died shortly thereafter.
Harvey C. Truttschel, 68, 1112 N. 26th St., a former Sheboygan carpenter contractor, died at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital late Saturday afternoon after a short illness.
Born in the Town of Mosel on Sept. 29, 1905, he was a son of the late August and Anna Truttschel. He was a graduate of Sheboygan Business College.
On Aug. 27, 1927, he married Frieda Knoener in the Town of Mosel. The couple moved to Sheboygan in 1931.
From 1931 to 1948 Mr. Truttschel owned and operated Truttschel Sales and Service Station at 14th and Michigan.
He then was in the carpenter business until retiring in January, 1972.
Mr. Truttschel was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, a former member of the church's consistory and a past president and treasurer of its Brotherhood.
Surviving are his widow; two brothers, Ervin of Sheboygan and Alfred of Kiel. He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 Wednesday at the Ebenezer UCC, the Rev. Ruben Grosshuesch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at Nickel's Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon until the time of services.

Vernon A. Thieleke, D.V.M., 71, of 407 S. Wisconsin Drive, Howards Grove, died at his residence on Friday, June 24, 1994, after an extended illness.
He was born on January 16, 1923 in the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, a son of the later Walter and Hilda Mueller Thieleke. Vernon graduated from Kiel High School and attended the university of Wisconsin in Madison. He was a 1945 graduate of Iowa State Veterinary Medical College in Ames, Iowa.
On April 17, 1947, Marie Franz and Vernon Thieleke were united in marriage. He practiced veterinary medicine in Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties for 31 years.
In 1960, he co-founded the Animal Clinic and Hospital of Sheboygan. Vernon was a faithful member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Town Herman, having held various offices and was president of the church. In 1969, he was president of the Wisconsin State Veterinary Medical Association. He was also a member of other professional veterinary medical associations. Vernon was the president of the Village of Howards Grove from 1983 until 1991. He was a member and supporter of numerous local organizations, a charter member of the Howards Grove Lions Club, including the Howards Grove firefighters. Vernon enjoyed fishing, playing cards and following sports. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Dr. Ann {Duane} Wunsch, Brookfield, Wis.; three sons, James {Sue} of Iowa City, Iowa; Dr. Rodney {Christine} and Mark {Vanessa} of Howards Grove; ten grandchildren, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, two nephews, and one niece. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services for Vernon A. Thieleke will be held Tuesday, June 28, 1994 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Town Herman with the Rev. Wayne Drueck officiating. Robert L. "Bob" Thieleke, 76, of W. 1415 CTH MM, Cleveland, died Saturday, December 5, 1992, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Elmer and Henrietta Bohlmann Thieleke. He attended Elm Grove School in the Town of Mosel.
On Sept. 26, 1942, Marcella Leonhard and Robert L. Thieleke were united in marriage in Sheboygan. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in October of this year.
Bob and Marcella lived and worked on the Thieleke farm with his parents until 1957, then moving into the present home on CTY Trunk MM.
Bob was best known as a milk hauler for Verifine Dairy in Sheboygan for over 44 years. He was a member and a past officer on the Wisconsin Milk Haulers Association. He was inducted into the Milk Haulers and Food Transporters Hall of Fame in recognition of over 35 years of continuous milk hauling service.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ in Town Mosel, where he served on the board as a consistory member. He was also a member of the United Commercial Travelers Organization of Sheboygan, a member of the Haven Fire Department and a firefighter of the Haven Volunteer Fire Department, past president, director, and lifetime charter member of Cleveland Fish and Game.
Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and was proud of the roses he grew. He and Marcella traveled over the United States and Germany.
Funeral services for Robert L. Thieleke will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 1 p..m., at St. Mark's United Church of Christ in Town Mosel with the Rev. William Kesting officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery of Sheboygan. Friends may call at the Zimmer Funeral Home in Howards Grove on Tuesday, from 4 to 9 p.m., and at the church on Wednesday, from 10 a.m., until the time of service.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Dianne {Roger} Bub of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Scott {Kathy} Bub of Katy, Texas; and Susan Bub of Austin, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Harriet {Clement} Meyer of Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and a very special friend, Dana Gumm.

Marie Johanna Thieleke, 78, a resident of the Morningside Health Center and formerly of 407 S. Wisconsin Dr., Howards Grove, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001 at Morningside after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born in the town of Herman on Sept. 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Gustave and Helen {Szeppull} Franz. Marie attended Pinehurst School and the Mission House Academy.
Marie Franz was united in marriage to Dr. Vernon Thieleke, D.V.M. on April 17, 1947. Vernon preceded her in death on June 24, 1994. Marie was a homemaker and while her husband practiced veterinary medicine for over 30 years, she was his partner. She took calls, dispensed medicines from their home, did bookkeeping and at the same time raised their four children. Marie was life long faithful and active member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in the town of Herman. She was a member of the Women's Guild and sang in the Church Choir. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, church activities and keeping the home fires burning for her family. Marie will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Surviving Marie are four children, James {Sue} of Sheboygan, Dr. Rodney {Christine} of Howards Grove, Dr. Ann {Duane} Wunsch of Brookfield, and Mark {Vanessa} of Howards Grove; 10 grandchildren, C.J., Jessica, Matthew, Elizabeth and Amy Thieleke, Aaron, Rachel and Jacob Wunsch, and Andrew and Elliot Thieleke, and a sister, Martha Witmar-Giese. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted for Marie on Friday, Oct. 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town Herman. The Rev. Wayne Drueck, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Frieda Truttschel, 88, formerly of 1112 N. 26th St., a resident of Morningside Health Care Center, died there Wednesday afternoon, March 27, 1996.
Born April 3, 1909 in the Town of Mosel, Frieda was the daughter of the late Carl and Laura Schumacher Kroener.
On Aug. 27, 1927, she married Harvey C. Truttschel in the Town of Mosel. The couple moved to Sheboygan in 1931 and they owned and operated Truttschel Sales and Service Station, located at North 14th Street and Michigan Avenue, until 1948. Harvey preceded her in death on June 1, 1974.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ and the Dorcas Circle of the church. She enjoyed working in her garden and yard.
Frieda is survived by a brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, Ervin Truttschel, Sheboygan; Mrs. Gertrude Truttschel, Kiel and Mrs. Verna Knoener, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Knoener.
Funeral services for Frieda Truttschel will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 30, at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Randall Brakemeyer, pastor of Ebenezer UCC, will officiate. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.

On Monday evening, May 11, the grim reaper entered our community and claimed John Turba. The deceased was born in the town of Russell, two miles west of St. Anna, where he spent all his life, on October 3, 1865, thereby attaining the age of 70 years. In 1894 he was married to Louise LaCroix, who survives him. The deceased was a kind and loving husband and father and always had a kind word and was in a friendly disposition when met by his neighbors and friends, who regretted to hear of his departure from this earth, after so many years of toil and hardships, which befall all of us more or less in this life. He was a member of St. Joseph's Society and the Holy Name Society. He is survived by five sons, namely: Edmund, Joseph, Henry and Leo of St. Anna, and Otto of Kiel; also 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Ann's church, the Rev. Father J. H. Schmitt officiating. Burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.
Milton Thieleke, aged 25, residing on rural route two, shot and killed himself Saturday morning with a single barrel shotgun in a barn on the homestead farm two miles south of St. Nazianz. The body was found at noon by his wife, who went to the barn to call him for dinner. Death apparently was almost instantaneous.
Mr. Thieleke, the son of Walter Thieleke of Cleveland, was born on the homestead farm at Louis Corners in 1920. He attended the rural schools and graduated from the Kiel high school with the class of 1938.
Survivors are his wife, the former Gladys Zimmermann; and 18-months-old daughter, June; his father; a brother, Vernon Thieleke of Ames, Iowa, and a sister, Miss Deloris Thieleke of Cleveland.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold O. Grunwald officiating.
Interment was made in a Sheboygan cemetery.
Ruth M. Theel, 86, of 350 Winnebago St. N. Fond du Lac passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 at Grancare Nursing Home.
She was born on May 13, 1918 in Sheboygan County a daughter of the late Ernest and Lydia Uphoff Raeder.
On Nov. 5, 1941, she married Eldon Theel in Des Moines, Iowa.
Ruth and Eldon farmed in the Town of Empire, Fond du Lac County for 40 years before retiring to Plymouth. She enjoyed reading, gardening, growing flowers with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.
Ruth was a member of Fortress of Peace Church in Sheboygan Falls before moving to North Fond du Lac in 2002.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 1, 1997, one brother Henry Raeder, two brothers-in-law Elroy Theel and Harvey Theel, one sister-in-law Wilnora Raeder.

Burial will take place on Monday in Greenbush Cemetery.

Emma Thone, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday evening, Oct. 9, 2004. She died peacefully at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with her daughters by her side.
The former Emma Diener, she was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Gottlieb and Amalie Maertz Diener.
Her first marriage was to Elmer Koffarnus on Nov. 15, 1932. He preceded her in death.
On Oct. 12, 1951, she married Elmer Thone in Sheboygan. He died July 31, 2000.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and enjoyed her many friends and neighbors.

Willis "Sooly" Theune, 57, of Cedar Grove died Thursday after a lengthy illness. He was born March 7, 1914 in Sheboygan and was the son of Cornelius and Minnie Jagerdink Theune. He is survived by his wife Neva Lammers Theune, daughter Mary Jo and son Guy. Funeral services 1st Reformed Church Cedar Grove. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Harry Toepel, aged 51, a resident of the town of Russell, died at 7:10 a. m. Monday at the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan, following a brief illness.
Mr. Toepel was born in the town of Centerville on September 28, 1893, the son of Magnus and Pauline Boettcher-Toepel. He was married to Elsie Kraemer of Elkhart Lake on April 28, 1917, and the couple located on the present farm.
Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Milton {Margaret} Mauk of the town of Russell, and Mrs. Armin {Esther} Neuhaus of the town of Schleswig; one grandchild, Karl Neuhaus; his father, Magnus Toepel of this city; two brothers, Elmer of Waukesha, and Raymond of Brillion. His mother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, with services at the Trinity Lutheran church here at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Harold 0. Grunwald will officiate.
The little baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Terk, 728 Kentucky avenue, who died Saturday at St. Nicholas hospital, was laid to rest Sunday.
Services were held at 1 p.m. from the Ahrens Brothers funeral parlors and at 1:30 from the S.S. Cyril and Methodius church. The Rev. Father James Cherne officiated. Burial was made in the Greendale cemetery.
Fred Tahlheim, a resident of the town of Russell for fifty-two years, died there, Tuesday, Jan. 10, aged ninety years lacking five months. Two sons and three daughters survive.
Otto Tews, aged 64, of 545 Upper Road, Kohler, passed away at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital on Sunday morning after having been in ill health for some time.
He was born in Poland on February 10, 1887, coming to this country, directly to Sheboygan, on Oct. 22, 1922. After residing in this city for a period of about 13 years the family moved to Kohler, where they have made their home ever since. Mr. Tews was an employee of the Kohler Co. since 1922 and was a member of the Century Club, having received his gold watch three years ago. He was a member of the Broadway Gospel chapel.
Surviving him are his wife of Kohler, one son, Arthur Tews, and three grandchildren, Delart Norman, Donald Neil and Paul Arthur, all of Maywood, Ill. A sister, Mrs. Emelia Sulzer, and a brother, John, of Canada, also survive him. One sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Nickel�s Funeral home, with Earle H. Longwell of the Broadway Gospel chapel officiating. Burial will take place in the Kohler cemetery.
Funeral services for Otto Tews, 64, of 545 Upper Road, Kohler, who passed away at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital on Sunday morning, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Nickel�s Funeral home with Earle H. Longwell of the Broadway Gospel chapel officiating. An address in Germany was given by Charles Miller. Burial took place in the Kohler cemetery.
At the services a quartet from the Broadway Gospel chapel, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. James Bayens, Jr., sang �Rock of Ages� and �Face to Face�.
Pallbearers were Sam Maretzke, Edward Lungwitz, Herman Kelch, August Keitler, Rudolph Zelke and George Klappenburg.
Funeral services for Allen Wayne, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Te Stroete, 518 Michigan St., Sheboygan Falls, who died Wednesday at the St. Nicholas hospital, were held Thursday afternoon at the Dean Funeral home in Sheboygan Falls.

The survivors include the parents; one sister, Kathleen; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Houmes of Sheboygan, and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Te Stroete of Cedar Grove.
Allen Wayne Te Stroete, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Te Stroete, Sheboygan Falls, passed away Wednesday at St. Nicholas hospital. The child was born Tuesday.
Besides the parents the infant is survived by a sister, Kathleen, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Houmes of Sheboygan and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Te Stroete of Cedar Grove.
Burial services were held at 3 p.m., Thursday, at the Cedar Grove cemetery, Cedar Grove. The Rev. Ray Olthof officiated.
Funeral services for Arthur Thorsby, 48, of 2320 Kroos Ct., who died Sunday evening at the St. Nicholas hospital, were held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels with the Rev. S. K. Schneider of the Sheboygan Gospel tabernacle officiating. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery.
Pallbearers were Edward Reichert, Mervin O. Malley, Earl Smith Jr., John Smith, Milton Lundskow and Milford Brehr.
Louis, Toepfer, aged 81, well known resident of this city, passed away at the St. Nicholas hospital at 11 p.m. Monday from the effects of injuries received last Friday when he fell down a flight of stairs and sustained a fractured hip.
Mr. Toepfer, on Friday, was making his usual rounds visiting friends. He went to the home of August Feldner, who dropped dead Sunday night, and receiving no response to his knock at the front door, he went to the rear of the house and tried to arouse Mr. Feldner from the rear door. While waiting for someone to answer his knock Mr. Toepfer leaned against a door which suddenly opened precipitating him to the basement.
He was taken to St. Nicholas hospital, but owing to his advanced years it was impossible for attending physicians to do much except to make Mr. Toepfer as comfortable as possible.
Mr. Toepfer was born March 4, 1845, in Germany and served in the war over there. He came to the United States about forty years ago, settling in this city, and had lived here since.
For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Toepfer had made their home at the Anna M. Reiss Home for the Aged, where Mr. Toepfer died three years ago.
The survivors are three sons, Albert Toepfer, of this city, and Ferdinand and Herman Toepfer, of Milwaukee, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the home of the son, Albert Toepfer, 524 S. Thirteenth street, Rev. C. P. Schulz of Trinity Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs Stedman Thomas died at St. Nicholas hospital, Sheboygan, Oct 8, of what was called acute tuberculosis. She had been sick ten days and had been at the hospital but three days.
Mrs. Rose Thomas was the daughter of James R Cole, brother of Maj. Nathan Cole of Sheboygan. She is survived by her husband and four sons, James, Walter, Robert and Willard, the eldest 17 and the youngest 11 years of age. She was a noble woman, who will be greatly missed by her friends.
The Rev. Stanley of the Sheboygan Falls Episcopal church read the burial service, Oct. 11, at the family home and interment was made in the Sheboygan Falls cemetery.
At Long Beach, California, on Oct. 2, Miss Franc Taylor passed away.
Miss Taylor was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor, two of the earliest residents of Plymouth. The deceased taught school, for a time in Fond du Lac. She and her sister had a private kindergarten in Plymouth, and also gave drawing and painting lessons. At one time, the Taylor family owned much of the land in the western part of Plymouth, and although Misses Franc and Mary had disposed of much of their property in that city, they still had interests there.
Miss Taylor is survived by her sister, Miss Mary. The fire which on the night of Feb 16, 1886, turned the house of James A Ehle in the town of Greenbush and in which Mr and Mrs Ehle and their three children Flora, Abram and Mary, Mr. Ehle's father and an old lady, a relative of Mr Ehle, lost their lives, left Misses Franc and Mary alone in the world. Mrs Ehle was a sister of the two ladies mentioned.
Mrs. Mary Thimmig, widow of the late Morris Thimmig, and a pioneer of this county, died at the home of her son, Herman, in Town Wilson, on Sunday morning at 2 o'clock, of dilation of the heart, at the age of 65.
Mrs. Thimmig was born in New York city on April 10, 1852 and came to this county when a small girl. Since the death of her husband she had been living with her son.
She is survived by three sons, Carl, of this city; Adolph of South Chicago; Herman of Town Wilson; and four daughters, Mrs. William Mathief, of Kiel; Mrs. Otto Gartman, of this city, and Mrs. Herman Gartman of Town Wilson, Mrs. H. F. Gartman. Two other children died a few years ago. There are 17 grand children, one sister, Mrs. N. Meta, and one brother, Matthias Flaig, who also survive.
The funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. from the home of her son in Town Wilson, and at 1:30 from the Lutheran Trinity church, in Town Wilson, interment being made in Flader's Rest Cemetery in the same township, the Rev. Joseph Oesch officiating.
Mrs. Anna Thackray, 89, a former Glenbeulah resident, died early today at the Elmore Methodist Home for the Aged in Milwaukee. She had been ill for six months.
Born July 14, 1860, in the town of Greenbush, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown, pioneer residents of Sheboygan county. She was married to Joseph Thackray in 1881.
The couple made their home in Glenbeulah after their marriage. For the past four years Mrs. Thackray had been a resident of the Methodist home in Milwaukee.
She was a member of the Glenbeulah Methodist church.
Survivors are one son, Dr. Irving B. Thackray, Wausau; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband died 13 years ago. A daughter also preceded her in death in 1939.
Funeral services are being arranged by the Wittkopp Funeral home at Plymouth. Burial will be in the Greenbush cemetery. Full particulars will be published in Tuesday�s Press.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Thackray, former Glenbeulah resident, who passed way in Milwaukee, were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the Methodist church in Glenbeulah under the direction of the Wittkopp Funeral Service, Plymouth. The Rev. Arnold Nielson, pastor, officiated and burial was made in the Greenbush cemetery.
During the services the choir of the church, accompanied by Miss Ruth Gilman, sang �Abide With Me� and �Near To The Heart Of God�.
The pallbearers were Allen Lanpheer, Halbert Lanpheer, Ed. Knowles, Alwyn Goelzer, Kermit Brickner, and Reinhold Titel.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Tripp, Plymouth, who passed away at her home, were conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Gentine Funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist church. The Rev. A. J. July, pastor, officiated and burial was made in the Woodlawn cemetery.
The pallbearers were Henry and Willard Schaefer, Henry Thielman, Atty B. R. Mooney, Vincent Slabe and Harold Vanderhoof.

Mrs. Meta Thieme, 1036 High avenue, passed away at St. Nicholas hospital Sunday morning.
Born near Elkhart Lake on February 8, 1877, she was the daughter of John and Augusta Miller. She attended rural school in the town of Wilson and was married to Fred Thieme in Sheboygan in 1896. The couple always lived in this city.
Her husband preceded her in death November 27, 1918. She is survived by two children, one son, John, and a daughter, Mrs. John (Esther) Stecker, both of this city; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Louis Miller of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Adeline Fromm of Elkhart Lake. Her parents, three brothers, four sisters and one daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Ramm Funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Marvin Lehman of St. Paul�s Reformed church will officiate and burial will be made in Wildwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Monday at 7:30 p.m. until the time of the services.

Mrs. Jacoba TenPas, 68, of 1207 Main avenue, widow of the late Albert TenPas, died suddenly early today at the home of her son, George, 1131 Logan avenue.
The daughter of Abraham and Jacob Huenink, she was born April 24, 1882, in the town of Holland, and was married to Albert TenPas on Oct. 2, 1907.
The couple settled on the TenPas farm homestead on route 3, Sheboygan Falls, until November, 1936, when they moved to Sheboygan. Mrs. TenPas was a member of Hope Reformed church.
Survivors are the son, George; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Clara) Zeeveld, route 3, Sheboygan Falls, and four grandchildren. Her husband died Oct. 10, 1944. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels with the Rev. Anthony G. VanZante, pastor of Hope Reformed church, officiating. Burial will be on the family lot in Hingham cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel after noon Sunday.

Joseph Turba, 84-year-old Elkhart Lake resident, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emil Zorn, 326 Franklin st., Plymouth, following a short illness.
He was born on Nov. 15, 1863, in St. Anna, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Turba. On Nov. 13, 1888, he was married to Miss Josephine Merk. She died on April 23, 1891.
On Nov. 26, 1891, Mr. Turba was married to Miss Lena Meyer. After their marriage the couple operated farms in Sheboygan county until 1924. For some time they resided in Kiel. From 1924 to 1938 Mr. Turba was employed by the H.C. Prange Co. in Sheboygan. They moved to Plymouth in 1940 and in 1947 moved to Elkhart Lake.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Hugo of Hartland and Arno of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Joseph) Free of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Emil (Dionysia) Zorn of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Gentine Funeral home at Plymouth, and at 9:30 o'clock at St. George's Catholic church in Elkhart Lake, with the Rev. Henry Langenfeld officiating. Burial was made in the St. Anna cemetery.
Walter J. Thieleke, 82, a village of Cleveland resident, died Friday evening in St. Nicholas Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 28, 1894 in the Town of Meeme (Manitowoc County), a son of Julius and Elizabeth Schumacher Thieleke.
He married Hilda Mueller Oct. 27, 1917. She died April 9, 1939.
Aug. 14, 1943, he married Ella Kress of Cleveland.
Mr. Thieleke farmed in the Town of Meeme until 1943 and then was employed at the Vollrath Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1958.
He was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland and had served as health officer for the Village of Cleveland for seven years.
Mr. Thieleke is survived by his widow; one son, Vernon, Howards Grove; one daughter, Mrs. (husband's name omitted for privacy)(Delores) Karsteadt, R. 3, Plymouth; two step-sons, Vernon Kress, Cleveland, and Herbert Kress, Kohler; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one step-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland, with Rev. Henry Koch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Henry Tasche, aged 69, of route 1, Sheboygan, passed away at the St. Nicholas hospital at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday after a lingering illness.
She was born in Rochester, Minn., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heckendorf. Her marriage to Henry Tasche took place in Milwaukee on July 30, 1907. They have always made their home here, residing on the Tasche homestead.
Survivors are her husband, two cousins, Mrs. Emma Stange, and Miss Bertha Heckendorf, of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nickel's Funeral home with the Rev. E. C. Jaberg of Ebenezer Evangelical Reformed church officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in Wildwood cemetery.

Mrs. Con Traas, 72, of R. 3, Sheboygan Falls, died early today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks.
The former Hazel Pietenpol was born Oct. 31, 1900 in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, a daughter of the late William and Hattie Wilterdink Pietenpol.
On Aug. 21, 1919 she was married to Mr. Traas in Sheboygan. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1969.
They farmed in the Town of Lima their entire married lives.
Mrs. Traas was a member of Gibbsville Reformed Church and its Women's Guild and Mission Society.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Walter of Sheboygan Falls and LeRoy of R. 1, Oostburg; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and a brother, Truman, Oostburg.
A grandchild and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Gibbsville Reformed Church at 1:30 p.m., preceded by a 1:15 p.m. family service in the choir room of the church. The Rev. Arthur Scheid, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Thomas was born in the Town of Scott April 15, 1883, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas.
Unmarried, he operated a farm in the Town of Sheboygan Falls until 10 years ago when he moved to a farm in the Town of Lima. He retired in January.
His only immediate survivor is a sister, Miss Edna Thomas, Waldo.

Mr. Theobald died Thursday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital after a lingering illness.
An employee of Kohler Co. for 40 years, he had been a foreman in the north foundry for over 20 years prior to his retirement in January, 1963.
A native of Stacyville, Ia., Mr. Theobald was born April 26, 1901, a son of the late Nicholas and Bertha Theobald. He married Eleanor Dietzen at Mt. Calvary on Oct. 22, 1929.
He was a member of St. Dominic's Church, the Holy Name Society of the parish, and the Kohler Quarter Century Club.
Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Audrey) Sonntag, Sheboygan; five grandchildren; two brothers, Carl and Wilfred, both of Stacyville and four sisters, Miss Isabelle Theobald of Goodhue, Minn., Miss Irma Theobald of Rochester, Minn., Sister M. Agness of St. Joseph's Hospital, Milwaukee, and Sister M. Joanice of Briarcliff College, Sioux City, Ia.

Oostburg - Funeral services for William Te Stroote, 59, who passed away Monday evening at Sheboygan Memorial hospital following a short illness, were held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Harold Te Stroote and at 2 p.m. at the First Reformed church. The Rev. A. T. Laman officiated and the Rev. H. Van Deelen, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, assisted. Burial was made in the Oostburg cemetery.
During the services a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Arnold Huibregtse, Mrs. Harry Nyenhuis, Lewis Walvoord and Harry Nyenhuis sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and "Oh, Think of the Home Over There." Mrs. Lena Te Ronde accompanied at the organ.
Six nephews of the deceased acted as pallbearers: Allan, Delmar and Harvey Te Stroote, Jesse and Arlan Scholten and John Graskamp.
Floral tributes were received from the Pet Milk Co., Pet Milk Haulers.

William Te Stroote was born Dec. 3, 1884, on the Te Stroote homestead just east of the village, the son of Albert and Delia Te Stroote. He attended the rural school, Wisconsin Memorial Academy and the Sheboygan Business College.
He was employed at the Cedar Grove Foundry, Cedar Grove Canning Co., Danish Pride and Pet Milk Co.
Survivors are two brothers, Harry and Harold, both of Oostburg.
A sister, Mrs. Herman (Gertrude) Koskamp, passed away April 10, 1938, and his parents also preceded him in death.
Mr. Te Stroote was a member of the Reformed church.
Mrs. George Thiermann, Sr., of Sheboygan Falls, aged 82, passed away early this morning at her home, 306 Monroe street, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Thiermann was born in Germany March 25, 1853, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Severin and came to this country at the age of sixteen, coming directly to Sheboygan Falls. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid society of the St. Paul's Lutheran church at Sheboygan Falls.
Surviving Mrs. Thiermann are her husband and four sons, George and Frank of Sheboygan Falls, Oscar of New Holstein, and Otto of Sheboygan; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Dean Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Biehusen will officiate and burial will be made in St. Lucas cemetery on the Green Bay road. The body may be viewed Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the funeral home.
Arthur Teumer, 82, formerly of 2614 N. 10th St., died early this morning at Rocky Knoll where he had been a resident for the past 3-1/2 years.
He was born in Sheboygan on Nov. 13, 1886, a son of the late Frank and Augusta Teumer.
On Mar. 22, 1913, he married Miss Ida Wendland, Sheboygan, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Teumer was an employee of Polar Ware Co., and retired in 1956.
His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1965.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (June) Fintelmann, Franklin, Wis., and Mrs. Edmund (Mildred) Kaltenbrun, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
One son, Milton; seven brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death.

Mrs. Myrtle E. Thomson, 83, of 412 Reed St., Plymouth, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Hospital, Columbus, Wis., where she had been a patient since Wednesday.
She was born in Reedsburg, Wis., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dorneck.
She was married in Reedsburg to Rufus Thomson, who preceded her in death. She had lived in Plymouth more than 50 years.
Mrs. Thomson was a member of the Plymouth Women's Club.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Charles Turgimson of Chicago.
Another sister preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Alfred Hanisch, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Milton Timm, 63, of Plymouth, a former Kiel resident, died Thursday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Samuel Bullough will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth.
The former Ella Stark was born May 6, 1892, at Kiel, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stark. She was graduated from Kiel High School in 1909 and attended the Spencerian Business College at Milwaukee. On Nov. 17, 1917, she was married to Milton Timm and they located in Plymouth.
Her husband was employed by the Kiel Cheese and Butter Co. and the Plymouth Cheese Co. and for eight years was secretary of the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are her husband; daughter, Mrs. Berill Andren of Dearborn, Mich.; son, Fred in Tokyo, Japan; two sisters, Mrs. Calvin Reineking of Kiel and Mrs. Abe DeMunek of Milwaukee.

R. H. Thomas Sr., died at his home in Sheboygan Falls this morning at 8:30 o'clock, aged 68 years. He had been suffering from pleurisy for the past 3 weeks. Mr. Thomas was born in Abrustwick, Wales in 1841, and in 1876 came to this country. He went to Ourtown a small place just south of the Falls, where he settled and opened a flour mill. In 1898 Mr. Thomas with his family moved to Sheboygan Falls where with his two sons Richard and Herbert he operated the flour mills. Mr. Thomas is well known in this city and his many friends will be grieved to hear of his death. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children, Herbert and Richard of the Falls, Isaac and Will of this city, Miss Nellie principal of the Plymouth High School and Miss Clara a teacher in the 7th ward school in this city. The funeral will be held from his late home Monday at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Ingraham of the Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Falls cemetery.
The funeral of R. H. Thomas Sr., was held from his late home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Ingraham of the Falls Methodist church officiated. The pallbearers were Charles Kennedy, Sr., Henry Habighorst, John Phalen, A.A. Wachter and Herman Boldt of the Falls and S. Wierman of Waldo. Interment in the Falls cemetery.
