Hamlet of Alconbury Weston
ALCONBURY WESTON extends over an area of 1635 acres; the rateable value is £1464. The principal owners of the soil are James Rust, George Rust, James Duberly, Gaines Hall; E.J.Hopkins,Yaxley, Esquires; Revds, George Johnston, Broughton; and J.D.Hopkins,Hartford; the Bishop of Durham; and Mr. Robert Knight.
The population in 1801 was 281; in 1831,441; in 1841,491; and in 1851,516 souls.
There is no church, the living is annexed to the vicarage of Alconbury, and the tothes were commuted in 1791, for about 68 acres of land.
The village of Weston, or as it is usually called,Alconbury Weston, is small, and situated above six miles to north west of Huntingdon, and about one mile from Alconbury, on the Great North road.
