Anthony and Alice SWIFT (née BELL)
Anthony SWIFT was born in Freiston, Lincs in 1786 to Anthony and Elizabeth SWIFT. He was christened on 5 Dec 1786.
He was buried in Freiston on 8 Jan 1827 aged 40.
Alice BELL was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth BELL. She was baptised in Algarkirk on 30 Oct 1788.
She was buried in Freiston on 6 Jun 1862 aged 74. The burial register noted.."of Boston", so presumably she was living with daughter Martha at the time of her death.

Elizabeth bp. 15 Jul 1811. Bur. 9 Oct 1931 aged 20. She was buried with her father in Freiston. William Anthony bp. 27 Feb 1813. bur. 3 Nov 1876. He became a prominent member of the Freiston community. On 12 Apr 1836 he married Mary WELLBERRY, from a wealthy local family. In White's 1842 Directory he's listed as landlord of the Castle Inn, Freiston, and also as a butcher.They had three daughters, Betsy (1837-1864), Mary Anne (b.1838) and Martha. William is buried in Freiston. Anthony bp. 8 Apr 1815. bur. 29 Jul 1839 aged 24. He is buried in Freiston. Martha bp. 2 Feb 1819. In White's 1842 Directory, she was listed as a dressmaker. Married George PALMER, a shipowner in 1860. In 1861 they were living in Boston with Tom & Elizabeth(from his 1st marriage). George died in 1893. Martha was still living independently in 1901. Martha died in 1903 and is buried at Boston St Botolph. Maria bp. 23 May 1819. Married John THORNTON in 1844. They were my 3x gt g'parents. Click here for more about their family.
