George DELLOW was born in Barkway, Herts c1842. His parents were Thomas and Sarah DELLOW. In 1851, he was at home. By 1861, he was living away from home, as a 19 year old railway porter in Grateley, Hampshire. On his son Harry's marriage certificate, he was described as a railway goods checker. He died after 1911. In 1911 he and Ellen were in Croydon. He was working as a railway gents' attendant. |
Ellen SIMS was born in Burley, Hants, Her parents were John and Harriet (née BROWNING). In 1841 and 1851, she was at home. In 1861 she was with sister Charlotte's family. In 1871, in Christchurch. They appeared as George and Ellen DELLON, living in Croydon in 1881. In 1891, they were living at Albert Rd, Croydon. In 1901 they were in Croydon. I have yet to find her death date, but it was after 1911. |
