CANWELL
John CANWELL was a farrier according to his daughter Susannah's 2nd marriage certificate.
I have found a record of a baptism for a John CANWELL in Alwalton, Hunts on 19 Dec 1779. Nathaniel CANWELL m. Mary HENSON in Alwalton in 1779. I think it a possibility that these are his parents.
He turns up in Wimbotsham, Norfolk in 1841, an ag lab, lodging with Henry RICHER the shoemaker and his family.
Mary ------- is listed on the Cambs baptism index as Susann(ah)'s mother.
Mary CANWELL was buried at Wisbech St. Peter in 1819 aged 36.
Their daughter Susan(nah) was born in Wisbech St. Mary in 1816.
