My connection with this area is through my mother's ancestry. My 3x gt g'parents George & Catherine WEEDEN who were married in St George the Martyr church on 16 Sep 1798; My 3x gt g'parents James & Mary DOWNES were married at St Saviour on 13 Jun 1831; my 2x gt g'parents Richard WEEDEN and Sarah Elizabeth DOWNES who married in 1852; my 2x gt g'parents James MIMMS and Mary Ann WOOD who married here in 1863; My g'parents Richard WEEDEN & Emma CHAPMAN were married in Bermondsey on 28 Feb 1915.
