My connection with this village is through my half 3x gt aunt Elizabeth CATCHPOLE. Her parents were James and Lucy CATCHPOLE (née MERRISON). She married Joseph SMART here in 1808 and had 7 children all bp. here. After Joseph died in 1832, she married Charles REED, and was still living in the village in 1851. |
