Robert Dudgoon.  A young man came aft to the Capt having
stowed himself away the day the passengers came on board,
and reported to the Captain the cause of so doing.  The Captain
had him put in one of the Single Mens Mess and ordered him to
keep the lamps trimed during the passage.
John Murphy Seaman was also stowed away and came aft the
same Day he said he wanted to get from Ireland.  The Captain
made him Ordinary Seaman to be Discharged at Auckland

At 4 AM when the watch was called to tack ship William
COKELY seaman refused to turn out. When called up by his
shipmates he said he was in no hurry and did not turn out till he
was called by Mr GRAY the 2nd Mate, after the ship was turned
round the Captain called him aft spoke to him about it he
confessed  he did say so.  At 5PM Charles MULLER was in the
Forcastte COKELY went in, wanted to know what he had told the
Captain about him before he could reply he knocked him down

Blacked his Eyes & cut his mouth very much this same COKLEY
has been a very disagreeable and always threatening what he
would do to his shipmates.
this Entry was read over to him, his reply was the 2 Mate had not
called him.

At 1 AM a disturbance broke out between J. WILLIAMS and the
Emigrant Cook, Mr BROWN, the Cook using very bad language
to WILLIAMS and irritating him very much, until a fight ensued

when WILLIAMS tore down the Berth Ceads? to get to the single
girls. While the quarrel was  going on John SUTHERLAND went
below and attacked the 2nd Steward who was trying to get the
others on deck and was very troublesome.
William COKLEY, seaman, was also below but did not take an            
active part on either side, but kept saying “ Don’t bully the men”
this same man has been very troublesome during the voyage.
