IDENTIFIED!? Susan M., who works in Yosemite, thinks this may be the top of Vernal Falls, Yosemite National Park in California. Upon enlarging the view even further, it does look like water is rushing from right to left behind the people.
This is my favourite of the whole lot of photos, because of the crispness of the entire view, the spectacular background and the "matter-of-fact" attitude of the women, especially. Perhaps they did venture in such rough and wild places regularly. The ridge in the centre coming down on top of them, bisecting the photo along the deep seams of those gigantic blocks of stone is particularly dramatic.

While it seems most of the group are enjoying their visit to the mountains, one or two look a little weary of it all.

Notice the woman standing in front of all the rest, how she is holding something white or light-coloured in her folded hands, along with a riding crop. In blowing up the photo, I also noticed that what appeared to be shadows are two tall, slender evergreen trees that help give the impression of the sharp edge of the mountain beyond dividing the view in half vertically.
