• He worked from 1782 to 1786 as a silversmith in Bolton MA
  Though he probably started working by 1773 if he followed a usual apprenticeship, his career was continuely interrupted by three terms of service in the Revolution and changes of location looking for a promising opportunity. He is known to have been living in Woburn, Berlin, and Winchendon MA, before settling in Bolton. It would seem that after 1786 silversmithing became a secondary pursuit to farming. Some time after 1801 he moved his family to Winchester NH and disappears from the record. ⁹
