Events in his life were:
- Apprenticed about 1805 to Asa Blanchard? in Lexington KY 5
- He worked from 1817 to 1822 as a silversmith in Saint Louis MO from a shop on "Main below Wilts' Store." In 1822 he set aside his business at the urging of his uncle, Jonathan Bryan, and took up farming in Callaway County. He was murdered outside Fulton in 1835.
