• According to Cutten, Silversmiths of Georgia, William Bradford Whiting Sr. spent most of his later life in New York serving as judge and state senator; it is more likely that the silversmith by that name was his son, who was in Savannah c 1780 and had dealings with his uncle, Ebenezer Whiting. It may be that he apprenticed to Ebenezer. ³
