  Events in his life were:

• Apprenticed abt 1849 in Meriden CT.

• After training and working in various Meriden shops, he spent a number of years with Parker, Casper & Co. and then went to the Wilcox Silver Plate Co., where he was a stockholder and where he remained until the formation of the International Silver Co. He had for over thirty years been superintendent of the Wilcox Silver Plate Factory, and continued there up to the time of his death
