• He worked from circa 1740 to 1760 as a silversmith in Boston MA supplying considerable amounts of silver and jewelry to other makers and retailers. He also commissioned specialized work from other makers, including Jacob Hurd. ⁹

Benjamin married Mary Chandler, daughter of John Chandler and Hannah Gardiner, on 7 Feb 1736 in Boston MA. (Mary Chandler was born on 9 Sep 1717 in Woodstock CT and died on 28 Feb 1756 in Boston MA.)
