Jarrett WW1 soldiers

Thanks to Jackie Surtees of upton.uk.net (the website of Upton-upon-Severn, Worcs) for the following information, received in February 2009 :

"You may be interested to know that Frederick Stephen Jarrett is also commemorated on the Roll of Honour outside the Memorial Hall in Upton upon Severn. His brother, Frank, was living in Upton upon Severn at the time of Fred's death and news of the death was in the Upton upon Severn News on 2nd November 1918 (attached)."

The five brothers referred to were Thomas, aged 7 on March 31st 1901, when the census was taken; Bert (Albert), then aged 5, who was invalided out; Fred, then aged 2; Frank, born early in 1901, and too young to serve; and (probably) John, aged 3 in 1901, and of whom nothing more is known at present: he does not figure on Cherington and Stourton memorials as a casualty or surviving soldier. It will be noted that the date of Fred's death given here is a day earlier than that recorded on the CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) website.
