| Notes for Henry Merz |
| There is a good chance that I have tracked his migration from Hosenfeld, Hessen, Germany to Baltimore using the Index to passenger list arriving at Baltimore, MD (FHC:0821578). The record contains a Heinrich Marz, age 25, occupation: carpenter, Nationality: Hessen, Last permenant residence: Hosenfeld, Name of vessel: Emigrant, Date: May 24, 1847. The card also had the number 1 330-1-55. I don't know what that means. I checked the manifest for the ship Emigrant (FHC:1442144) and could not find "Heinrich Marz" but it was in horrible condition. |
