St. Mary's Cemetery (Old) is located on State Highway 56 South from Potsdam, towards Hannawa Falls, and just before the intersection of State Highways 56 and 72. The cemetery is approximately one mile beyond the clock tower, Satterlee Hall, SUNY Potsdam. (As you are driving from Potsdam, you will first see St. Mary's Cemetery (New) on the left before you get to St. Mary's Cemetery (Old)). From State Highway 56, St. Mary's (Old) is closest to the highway, and Garfield Cemetery is located directly behind St. Mary's Old, where the trees begin.
