I recently had several emails from Bob Wilson, Harrisburg, Oregon. He was looking for information regarding people who had been in the cemeteries that were moved when the St. Lawrence Seaway was being built in the mid nineteen fifties. I quickly discovered that he had considerable information on these cemeteries, and he generously provided me with news items that appeared in the local newspapers from that era. (He searched on-line for these items, using the Northern New York Library Network @ http://www.nnyln.org). I thought the articles were very interesting, and through his generosity, there are links below to these items. I also added more links that I found. If you "Google" "St. Lawrence Seaway cemeteries" you will come up with more information, including information on the Canadian cemeteries that were affected by this project.
