THE GET REAL GANG MEETS AGAIN

Another beautiful greeting from our hostess with the mostess - Diane. We hadn't noticed whether we were special, but presumed so. The idea was so nice, Dick suggested we photograph a setting for posterity.

Not wanting to miss two meetings in a row, Carlos fired up his trusty Jeep, and motored to Coocoo Beach. Joining him was Dick, Gene Sp., Gary, Gene Si., and Bill V.. Glad we all were, that we made it...Dianne had everything set up for double the number. This was fine with us, having twice the candy to eat. Gene Si. announced he just purchased a short-wave transceiver totally computer operated...the unit itself resembling just a metal box. All controls, dials, etc being graphically displayed on the monitor. Max output being 100 watts. Sounds like the way to go.
That's about it folks. The meeting broke up late, running fifteen minutes over. Remember, unless you're not well, there's no excuse ever for not joining us, and getting "real".

The Monday Morning Mariners' Meeting

The MMMM meets at 1130 every monday in the Captains Grill at the Holiday Inn in Cocoa Beach Florida, and is open to all - mariner or not. All are welcome who have a need for telling sea-stories, good company, and good food. There are no formalities, nor membership requirements. Take nothing seriously, nor believe anything you hear. Seating is by tenure, especially the chair nearest the bulkhead facing inboard. The meeting adjourns around 1300 for no reason whatsoever.
