OLD WILLIAMS/

OLD WILLIAMS/ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN CHURCH RECORDS

Williams Township

Northampton County

Pennsylvania

This congregation was formed in 1728. The record images you will see on the following pages were obtained by Jay Willis 25 years ago. At that time he visited the Lutheran Seminary Library Archives in Germantown, PA. With the help of an archivist he made Xerox copies from the original church documents. Due to the age of these records and the need to preserve them, public access is no longer allowed to the original records.

Jay's research found many gaps in the records. Apparently some pastors were more diligent than others in keeping records. It also appears that from shortly before the outbreak of the Civil War until well after the end of the conflict records are almost non-existent.

The links below take you to scanned images of church records pertaining to the SLOYER/SCHLOYER (and other variant spellings) records Jay found.
