Vernon Sloyer told his granddaughter Ruth Lilly Dreher that as a boy(1890s) he remembered Abraham, since Vernon was born in a house a 100 yards from Abraham's house. Abraham lived in this house until he died in 1896 so Vernon would have been six years old. He described Abrahamas"worn out"and did not do much work in his last years. She was born at Stout's Valley, near Riegelsville for the past 11 years. Mrs. Warner is survived by her husband, two Sisters, Mrs. Eugene Scott of Easton, and Mrs. Alice Strauss, of Reigelsville; a half-brother, Peter A. Sloyer, of Phillipsburg, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Maria Dugan and Mrs. Caroline Kutz, of Phillipsburg. She was a member of the Linden Baptist Church, of Camden, N. J. where she formerly resided. Funeral Saturday at 2 p.m. from her late home with interment in Reigelsville cemetery.
