Delia Hess was born near Springtown, PA., February 12, 1863. In September, 1883 she was married to Adam S. Seifert, a farmer (son of George W. Seifert), born art Springtown, PA., January 7, 1864. He occupies the original Seifert tract, first known as "Moldavia", which was granted to John Moffitt in 1743, and purchased by the Seifert ancestors in 1786. The old residence, a log structure, which has been newly weather-boarded and modernized ( David Seifert note-wow, I'll bet that meant a pump in the kitchen, if the kitchen was indoors) by the present owner, is probably the oldest house standing at Springtown. The stone barn, erected in 1789, is still standing in excellent condition. The ruins of an old ice cave and vaults "among the willows" opposite the farm house, are relics of by-gone days, and were used for dairy purposes and storing vegetables

250 Years of The Sloyer-Schloyer-Schleyer-Scheier Family by Linda M. Klosek states that they resided in Springtown, Bucks Co. in 1905. He was an undertaker. After following his vocation in Easton, Pa and Raubsville he settled in Springtown in 1897. His property , on the main St. of Springtown, was situated on a 3 acre tract. He conducted business in the Seifert Funeral Parlor located in one house and in the morgue located in the rear section of the adjoining house. The business was operated by he and his son John B. Seifert. They also owned and operated a vault shop on the corner of Church St. and Lower Saucon Rd. in Springtown. The vault shop business was conducted in a building formerly housing the St. Paul's Methodist Church. They manufactured the Springtown Burial Vault. The business later became the Felix Hammerstone Burial Vault Co. In the 1980's the building was demolished and a private residence now occupies the site.
“Tracing the Seifert Family History” by Betty Gross Riter, Springfield Township Historical Society, Bucks County, PA; 11/15/2009:
Thomas Henry Seifert was born June 23, 1859 near Springtown. He was a son of John R. Seifert, born 1825. (John R. Seifert was a son of Leonard Seifert. Leonard Seifert was a son of John Seifert II.) Thomas H. Seifert was married to Ida Agnes Hess. Ida Agnes Hess, born 10-6-1865 near Springtown, was a daughter of Owen B. and Catherine nee Sloyer Hess, and a sister of Delia nee Hess Seifert, who was married to Adam Seifert, son of George W. and Sarah Seifert. Ida Agnes Hess spent seven years of her life with the family of Joseph T. Hess, at Leithsville, PA, where she grew to young womanhood.

Thomas H. Seiffert was a carpenter and an undertaker. He learned the undertaking trade with his brother Isaac Seifert, at Hellertown, PA. After following his undertaker vocation in Easton, PA, and Raubsville, PA for twelve years, he settled in Springtown in 1897. His property was located on a three-acre tract of land that included two houses fronting on Main Street.

The funeral parlor was located in one house, and the Seifert morgue was located in the rear section of the house next to it. The business was operated by Thomas H. Seifert, and his son, John B. Seifert, local undertakers. Thomas and John Seifert also owned and operated a vault shop on the corner of Church Street and Lower Saucon Road in Springtown. The vault shop was conducted in a building that had previously housed St. Paul’s Mennonite Church. The Seiferts manufactured the Springtown Burial Vault, and advertised "The Vault of Service Since 1907." Later, the business became the Felix Hammerstone Burial Vault Company of Hammerstone and (Bob) Lucey. While the building was in use as a vault company, concrete burial vaults were piled about on the grounds in front of the building. In the 1980's, the building was demolished and a private home now occupies the site of the vault company.
Thomas Seifert was also a carpenter.

June 6, 1886. The Springtown Weekly Times advertised, "Thomas H. Seifert, handmade furniture shop, undertaker”.
