Newspaper dated October 31, 1932 Charles Franklin Bachman, died Saturday morning at 5:30 o'clock at his home, at 800 East North Street, at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 1 day. Mr. Bachman was born in Bethlehem Township on January 28, 1863, the son of the late Charles and Sabina (Kratzer) Bachman. He was the night watchman at the Modern Throwing Mills, and also was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. Besdies his wife. Elizabeth E., nee Sloyer, Bachman, there survives one son, John F., of Allentown; one daughger, Mrs. Herbert Heffner, of this city; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the funeral home of Laramy and Rigel, 701 North New Street, on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Fairview Cemetery.

Charles Franklin Bachman

Charles Franklin Bachman, 69, for many years a watchman at the Modern throwing mills in Bethlehem, died Saturday.

Born in Bethlehem township, he was the son of the late Charles and Sabina Kratzer Bachman. He was a member of Salem Lutheran church, Bethlehem. His wife died several years ago.

He is survived by a son, John, Allentown, and a daughter, Mrs. herbert Heffner, Bethlehem. There also survive six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

William Sloyer, aged 51 years, of 44 North Union street, Easton, died Monday evening, June 18, at Dr. Betts' Hospital, of paralysis. April 15, while Mr. Sloyer was clipping a horse at Siple's stable, Barnet House, the horse kicked him bruising him about chest and fracturing his right thumb. He had been in a weak condition since. Mr. Sloyer was a native of Coffeetown, Williams township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Sloyer. For a number of years he was employed as a blacksmith and at one time conducted a shop at Martin's Creek. He is survived by a son, Walter Sloyer, Easton, and one daughter, Miss Anna Sloyer, Bethlehem; also a brother, George Sloyer, Easton, and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Idenberger, Springtown, and Mrs. Ida Snyder, Allentown. The late Mrs. Isabel Bachman, wife of Charles Bachman, Bethlehem, who died recently, was a sister. Mr. Sloyer was a member of Durham church, Bucks county.
