During the Civil War they lived near old Haynesville.
Religion-Baptist. 1880 Built the Crawford Hotel in Holt MO and ran it
for 40 years.
Migrated from MO to Oregon in 1844 with Cornelius Gilliam's Wagon Train. Arrived in Lintton on 26 Nov 1844; went to the Tualatin Plains near Hillsboro & the following spring moved to the Chehalem Valley, where he took a claim of 645 acres about 5 mi NW of Newberg. At that time there were but 8 families in the valley, and in 6 the wives were Indians or half breeds.

DEATH: Died just as the family was nearly to Oregon.
Reportedly went to Puget Sound. Listed as one of two brothers on 1844 wagon train in notes of Fay Ray
