THE ALLDAY FAMILY of Burke Co GA The first Allday (Alday)
is: Josiah Alday, granted on December 4, 1770. Grant Book I, page 112. 150 acres
bounded on the southeast by John Thomas and on all other sides by vacant land.
In the 1820 Burke Co., GA Census we find: Nancy Allday age 45 or older. (no
males). One female under 10, one female 10 to under 16; one female 16 to under
26 years of age. In the 1820 Burke Co., GA Census we find. Josiah Allday age 26
to under 45 and one female age 25 or older. one male under 5 years of age. In
the 1830 Census we find: Josiah Allday age 30 to under 40 and one female age 40
to under 50; two females under 5; one female 5 to under 10; one male 5 to under
10; one male 10 to under 15 years of age. (I have concluded that Josiah and
Margaret ??? Allday are the parents of our Charles Allday who married Sarah
Clark. ed Willard Godbee, Sr.). In the 1820 Burke Co., GA Census we find. Peter
Allday b age 16 to under 26. no females. We assume he isn't married. In the 1830
Census we find: Peter Allday age 30 to under 40; one female age 30 to under 40;
one female 5 to under 10; one male under 5; one male 5 to under 10. In the 1830
Burke Co. Census is: John P. Allday age 40 to under 50, one female age 30 to
under 40; one female under 5; one female 10 to under 15; one female 15 to under
20; one male 5 to under 10; one male 20 to under 30 years of age. The Allday

Allday applies for Admn. of David Allday, June 30, 1881. Henry Clarke born ?
died Jan 15, 1846 in Burke Co GA buried in the family cemetery on the farm which
is located northeast of Alexander, GA near Brier Creek on a little stream called
Spring Creek which runs through the property, we do not know the name of his
wife but his children are as followers. This Henry Clarke was a Revolutionary
Soldier. 1. Drewry Clarke born Sep 27, 1793. 2. CHRISTOPHER CLARKE born Mar 16,
1795. lived in Burke Co GA md EASTER JOINER. (See below) 3. Cynthia Clarke born
Mar 12, 1797 died Mar 14, 1846. 4. Mary Clarke born Mar 11, 1798. 5. Elizabeth
Clarke born Sep 29, 1800. 6. Sarah Clarke born Mar 15, 1802. In the 1880 Burke
Co GA Census We find this Sarah in the home of William and Eliza Clarke Landing
she is listed as [ Aunt ] in this home. 7. Nancy Clarke born Mar 26, 1805. The
above Christopher Clarke and Easter Joiner had the following children. 1. Henry
Clarke born Aug 15, 1829 no other record. 2. SARAH CLARKE born Feb 11, 1833 d 8

Margaret (Cavina) Allday. Charles Allday-Enlisted as a private in Co. E, 2nd
Regiment, 1st Brigade, Ga. State Troops Oct 12, 1861. Mustered out in 1862.
Enlisted as a private in Co. K, 32d Regt. Ga. Inf. May 10, 1862, wounded, date
and place not given. No later record. He (by uncle John Clark) Charles Allday d
