William Charles STEVENS

Mary Dorothy Olive DOUGLAS ( Tom Edgar , Robert George , Robert )
Mary was born on Thursday, 26th March 1925 in New Mile End, Adelaide, South Australia.

Mary was the 2nd of 4 children , 3 boys and 1 girl for Kathleen Mary OWENS and Tom Edgar DOUGLAS.
Kathleen was aged 23 years and Tom Edgar was aged 29 years. ~s02

Mary has 2 younger siblings from her father's second marriage.
Mary's siblings are Gordon (b1921), Bob (b1926), Colin (b1928), Tom and Heather.

Mary is known to family and friends as "Molly".

Molly's parents separated in 1928, whilst the family was living in Kapunda, South Australia.
Molly and her younger brother Bob, were placed in the Morialta Children's Home, in the Adelaide Hills.
They were there for 9 years, until their mother remarried in 1937, in Broken Hill, New South Wales.

Mary Dorothy Olive DOUGLAS enlisted for military service in WW2
in the Australian Army on Monday 24th April 1944 in Wayville, South Australia.
Molly was living in Broken Hill, New South Wales.
Mary Dorothy Olive STEVENS was discharged on Thursday 17th May 1945.
Molly was a Private in the Headquarters South Australian L of C. Her Regimental Number was SF113397.

William Charles STEVENS
William was born on Thursday, 31st July 1919 in Adelaide, South Australia.

William is known to family and friends as "Bill".

William Charles STEVENS enlisted for military service in WW2
in the Australian Army on Friday 1st March 1940 in Adelaide, South Australia.
Bill was living in Echunga, South Australia. Bill served overseas, in North Africa.
William Charles STEVENS was discharged from the 2nd AIF on Friday 21st September 1945.
Bill was a private in the 2nd AIF. His Regimental Number was SX1832.

Molly met Bill before he was posted overseas.

William Charles "Bill" STEVENS died on Saturday 27th January 2001 in Broken Hill, New South Wales.
Bill was buried on Friday 2nd February 2001 in the Broken Hill Cemetery. Bill was aged 81 years.

Peggy married Rodger John KILLEEN.
They were married in the Baptist Church, Patton Street, Broken Hill.
Rodger was born on Friday 1st November 1946 in Broken Hill.
Peggy and Rodger had the following children :

1 M Brian John KILLEEN was born on Sunday 15th November 1964 in Broken Hill.
Brian died on Monday 12th September 1983 in Adelaide, South Australia.
Brian is buried in the Broken Hill Cemetery. Brian was aged 18 years.

2 M David James KILLEEN

Rodger John KILLEEN died on Thursday 30th October 2003 in Broken Hill, New South Wales.
Rodger is buried in the Broken Hill Cemetery, with his son. Rodger was aged 56 years.
