James RIDGWELL  ( George )
James was born on 28th December 1835 in Essex, England.
James was baptised on 21st February 1836 in Tolleshunt Major, Maldon, Essex, England.

James was the 3rd of  8 children, 6 boys and 2 girls for  Ann Maria RUSH and George RIDGWELL.
James'  extended family included 4 step brothers and 4 step sisters. ~s02

James' siblings were  John (b1831) ,  George (b1833) ,  Ann Maria COULTER (b1839) ,  Henry (b1841) ,  William (b1844) ,  Richard (b1846) ,  Elizabeth Sarah RINTOULE (b1847) ,  Emily Maria PEARDON / FARMER (b1848*) ,  Ellen HUNTER (b1850) ,  Frederick WADE (b1852) ,  Bessie RIDGWELL (b1854*) ,  John Frederick (b1855) ,  Jane Louisa JAMIESON (b1857) ,  Charles Alfred (b1859) and  Edward George (b1862).

James was aged almost 4 years, when he migrated to South Australia, with his parents and 3 siblings.

 

Louisa CLARKE
Louisa was born about 1839 in England.
Louisa was the daughter of  Eliza COCKETT and John CLARKE.

in Gawler, South Australia.

They were married in St George Church.

James and Louisa had the following children :

1 M John James RIDGWELL was born about 1875 in Stawell, Victoria.
John James RIDGWELL died in 1944.
2 F Louisa Cockett RIDGWELL was born in June 1877 in Stawell, Victoria.
Louisa Cockett RIDGWELL died on 11th December 1877 in Stawell, Victoria.
Louisa was buried in Stawell Cemetery.  Louisa was aged 6 months.
X F Emily STRANGE was Louisa's neice.

Louisa RIDGWELL nee CLARKE died on 25 Sep 1890 in Glenorchy via Stawell.
Louisa was buried in Pleasant Creek Cemetery. Louisa was aged 51 years.

James RIDGWELL married (2) Jane HOCKING on 5 Apr 1893 in Geelong, Victoria.
Jane HOCKING was born about 1839.

Jane RIDGWELL nee HOCKING died on 5 Jan 1916 in Stawell, Victoria. Jane was aged 77 years.
She was buried in Pleasant Creek Cemetery.

James RIDGWELL died on 15 Nov 1919 in Stawell, Victoria.
The cause of death was Cardiac Failure. James was aged 83 years.
James RIDGWELL was buried on 16 Nov 1919 in Pleasant Creek Cemetery.

John James RIDGWELL ( James , George )

John James RIDGWELL was born in 1875 in Stalwell, Victoria. He died in 1944.

John married Ellen LEE on 2 Feb 1910 in the Registry Office Hindmarsh, Adelaide, South Australia.
He was single and 34 years of age. She was single and 20 years of age.
Ellen was born about 1890.

They had the following children :
