Ellen was the 6th of 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls for Jeremiah SCANNELL and Mary Veronica COULTER.

Ellen is known to family and friends as "Betty".

Betty's siblings are Jack (b1918), Walter (b1919), Ron (b1920), Mavis (b1923), Claire (b1925) and Margaret (b1928).

Thomas William SEWARD son of William Henry SEWARD and Mary Ellen FLEMING.
