After serving as a volunteer in Capt Goldman Bryson's CO, Benjamin Brannon enlisted in the Union Army at age 18. He was mustered in for duty 17 Jan 1864 at Nashville, TN by James H. Kile. He joined CO D, 1st Battalion, TN Light Artillery. After the war, he married and fathered nine children who scattered from MO to TX. { to be continued}
