*Susie A. (Hampton) Buckner Abbott's Obituary

Susie A. Abbott was born in North Carolina on Jan. 3, 1874, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Burlison, near Brookline on Feb. 10, 1937, aged 63 years, one month and seven days. She was married to M.W. Buckner in 1904. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Beatrice Burlison, at whose home the mother passed away, and Howard Buckner of Springfield. The husband preceded her in death in September 1907. After 11 years of widowhood, she was again united in marriage to John F. Abbot on Aug. 24, 1923. The survivors are the husband, the daughter and son, seven grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Turner and Mrs. Sarah Rhodes of Logan, four brothers, Rev. Wm. Hampton of Marietta, Ga., Joseph of Springfield, Marshall of Clever, and Turley of Montrose, Colo. Funeral services were held at 11 o�clock at the home and at 2 o�clock at the Clever M.E. church on Friday, Feb. 13, with Rev. Young officiating with burial in the Wise Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Wilburn Maples Funeral Home of Clever.
