
Lewis Grant Goins, 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at the Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Okla.He was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Athens. He was the son of George Houston Goins and Myrtle Americus (Flowers) Goins.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and also served in the U. S. Air Force, retiring in 1969.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Georgia Mae Gates and Ethyleen Watson.
He is survived by his wife, Ina Fay "Cathey" Goins; daughters: Patricia Darlene Berlanga of Modesto, Calif., and June Stepp of Niota; sons: Gary Brackett Goins of Rossville, Ga., and Michael Grant Goins of Tulsa, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from noon until 8 p.m. at the Ninde Funeral Home in Tulsa, Okla.
