Elbert Newton Gay US Army Photos, World War II

(ca. 1942 or 1943)

This postcard photo was taken somewhere overseas during World War II. The building in the background shows visible evidence of numerous shellings. Reflections in the window panes show several buildings with multiple stories. Windows on the various floors appear to have been bombed out.

Many thanks to Cousin Mildred Maupin for borrowing her Aunt Ruth (Worley) Gay's album for me to scan this photo! Ruth was meticulous in organizing her pictures.
