This portrait of my great-great-grandparents was inherited by their oldest daughter Lucinda "Cindie" Breckinridge (White) Nipper. Upon her death, it was given to her oldest daughter Jane (Nipper) Rudd in whose home it hung for many years. Eventually, the portrait was inherited by Jane (Nipper) Rudd's daughter Rachel (Rudd) Brown. Many thanks to Cousin Rachel for lending me the very large portrait in its original frame in order to have this copy made! My father, Tommy Nipper, Cousin Rachel, and her sister Cousin Rhetta Rudd were very helpful on this line.
