The photo above was taken on Prospect Church Road across from "Stark Hill Road" which leads to the old homeplace. Many renovations have been made to this dwelling since "Stark" White and wife Caroline Barnett lived there in the Prospect Community of McMinn County, Tennessee. The front room was expanded taking in the front porch. Then, a stoop with roof cover was added, and steps were laid up to it. Underpining and chimney were resurfaced; windows, front door, and roofing, replaced; window shutters and siding, added, etc. making this house appear quite different from the original. However, the old rock embankment alongside the creek is original as is the exact site of the home.
