Died May 1, 1987Mrs. Judy McDonald Knox,* 36, of Hilltop Drive in Athens, died Friday at Athens Community Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a member and pianist at Zion Hill Baptist Church. She had been active in music and piano since the age of 13.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Knox of Athens; parents Cecil and Elwanda McDoanld of Athens; and several aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services were to be 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Laycock Funeral Home with the Revs. Wade McDonald and Jimmy McCarter officiating. Burial in Clearwater Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Darrell and Don Dockery, Sam and Danny McDonald, Eddie Bankston, and Steve Torbett. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Thompson, Robert Riden, Ed Brown, Lynn Brown, Gary Culberson, Johnny Coffman, Bobby Melton, and Dr. William Bolin.
*my second cousin twice removed and friend; also childhood neighbors and attended the same schools
