My Meatballs

My Meatballs

~ My Meatballs ~

Hope enjoy this easy recipe! I never buy ready-made meatballs from the grocery because they taste like rubber to me.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. hamburger
1 cup soft bread crumbs
5 tbsp. finely diced onion
1 tsp. salt

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix meat, onion, and salt in large bowl.

  2. In small bowl, put bread crumbs adding just barely enough water to moisten. If you add too much water, just press out excess with your fingers.

  3. Then scatter moistened bread around meat mixture and mix thoroughly.

  4. Roll balls in palm of your hands.

  5. Set stove eye half way to medium heat. Cook in non-stick skillet.

  6. Turn gently on all sides occasionally to brown evenly and completely until done. Lay on paper towels to soak up any excess grease from meat.

Top with your favorite spaghetti sauce, or better still make your own pasta sauce. Brown gravy from foil package is also tasty, or better still make your own milk gravy as I do, thus eliminating food additives and high fructose corn syrup.
