
Frank Price, 83, of Railroad Ave. in Athens died Thursday in Athens Community Hospital.[clipped April 1986 from DPA by Sandra (Nipper) Ratledge]A lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Riley and Alice McKeehan Price, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Genoa Jenkins Price, on Oct. 20, 1982. He was a member of North Athens Baptist Church and a retired employee of Athens Hosiery Mill.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Price and Donald Price, both of Athens; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ethel Decker of Athens; a brother Theadore Price of Daytona Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Laycock Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Wattenbarger officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemtery. Pallbearers will be Bill Shelton, Scott Walters, Danny Newman, Kenneth Swafford, Bobby Schultz, and C. L. Jenkins.
The family will receive friends today from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
