January the 16th 1883

Dear brother and sister
I seat myself to rite you a few lines to let you no that we all well and doing well and i hope those few lines may come such to hand and find you all well and doing well. i received your kind letter and was more than glad to hear from you one more time. i want to see you all verry bad. i wish that i could come see you all. crop was good in this countyr last year. well Elizabeth my children has nearly all left me. Lizza married in November. She married a Mr. Tom Mitchel. she is living in Carrollton. She is doing well he has 5 children. David married Miss Cora Hughes of Coweata. He has a nice lady. Molly married Mr. John Stevins. A nice young man. David and Molly will clos by me. i shall feel verry lonely I want you all to come and see us bad and Gorge and family is well and doing well. if i could see you i could tell you a heap that i cant rite. Our preacher for third year is named Wesley Arnold. he said he is a cousin to us. all rite soon. i love to read a letter from you. remember me and my children in your prays. so i must close. rite soon.

John is living in Claburn County at a his post office is Cissaro at Poundes Mills. Molly Oneal is married. she married Thad Cook. we ar living with Mr. Loving near Mr. Perebu old mills. Molly sais tell ant Lizzie she wants to see her and wishes she lived close by you so she could go to see you. She sais tell Susy and Georgiaan she wants to see them both. she ways one hundred and 18 pounds. sais you no she is a lady. Lizzie sais she wants to see you all. she ways one hundred. Stokes sais he wants to see you all and he wishes he was out thair. he is making 13th dollar per month. uncle bob little is ded. he died with disspaptic. aint Linna and the children was well and Uncle Ezakiel was well. i want you to rite to me soon and often. so i must close rite rite.
