Prior to 1800 refer to Old Kea
1802-A New church was built on land given by Robert Lovell Gwatkin, of Killiow. Designed by James Wyatt. Unfortunately it was badly built neither the church or the tower was buttressed, and cracks very soon appeared. The church at Old Kea was pulled down when the new church was completed. Some of the granite columns being used as part of the construction of the stable at Killiow.
29th September the church was dedicated.
The paucity of church funds can be judged from a note that the church wardens were unable to provide money for bell ropes, and the miners from Wheal Jane active at the time, climbed the bell loft and rang the bells by striking them with their picks; one bell was cracked as a result and remained unusable until recast in 1904.
1869-It was accepted that the church would have to be rebuilt.
1894-£2350 had been raised in the re-building fund
Incumbent Gerald Pole-Carew.
Palm Sunday the ceiling began to fall.
1st November the foundation stone of the new church laid by Viscountess Falmouth.
The new building was designed by George H. Fellowes-Prynne F.R.I.B.A. and included some of the granite from Old Kea church in the Chancel steps. The 1739 oak Poor box and also the Font also came from Old Kea.
