Anna Alphene Durregger
Anna is the youngest daughter of Thelma (Spilman) Durregger.
She married Dennis Cooper and they have taken over the original Spilman farm
called the "Home Place" in Clear Lake, IA. They also own the farm that
Minnie Spilman had inherited from her father Dan. Her husband George
Hughes built the house in the late 1800's.
Anne writes, "This farmstead was purchased by Harry Spilman and
later willed to his nephew/stepson, Lloyd Spilman. We purchased the
building site and 40 acres from Lloyd's widow, Gladys Spilman in 1975. We
also rent the surrounding farm acres from Gladys. You can't see the farm
buildings and grain bins that are located to the North and West".
Anne's daughter Allison Cooper went to England and visited with
the English Spilmans in 1999.
