Born at Silver Creek, OH Feb. 16, 1874. Age 22 years, single. Resides with conductor Ledger at Huntington. No previous experience. Enters service as brakeman, Chicago Division, January 30, 1897.

Suspended 5 days from Feb. 28th for not keeping a closer lookout on markers of Extra 711 West on Feb. 12th, 1897. Train parted between Akron and Athens. He missed rear end 1 1/2 miles west of Rochester.

Promoted to freight conductor, September 24, 1904.
