Erie Railroad Biography - C.L. Linehan


From the August, 1916 issue of Erie Railroad Magazine:
Mahoning Division engineer C.L. Linehan, operating engine 3096 with fireman J. Angel, was listed in the Order of the Red Spot for August, 1916. The Order was an honor for engine crews who operated efficiently, using minimal fuel and requiring fewer engine servicings.




Erie Railroad engineer Charles L. Linehan of 1612 Willer Avenue, Lakewood, OH, died March 9, 1925, age 50. Per the death certificate, he was born December 25, 1874 in Cleveland to Cornelius Linehan and Margerite Halsey. Informant was N. Linehan, Geauga Lake.
